The walk up to the Rifugio Valasco starts from the Valdieri Terme. It is a pleasant walk, not too hard and it also has a mountain bike track. The 5 km to reach the plateau is pleasant with beautiful views. Keep in mind it is a steep valley. Once you reach the plateau, well wow! The staff is really nice and attentive and they know well the area because it is run by a local who was the great great grandson of the original shepherd appointed by the Savoia King back in the 1800's. Yes this was originally a hunting ground for the Savoia nobility. It has a story, the staff is passionate and it is also a great starting point for more challenging hikes. Open all year round they even organize New Years Eve.For city people always keep in mind that you are at 1700 meters well up in the mountains so do not expect luxury.

Well worth the journey, the views are terrific you will get the impression that this is as far as you can travel, the hospitality will meet the expectations of any reasonable person, the menu is amazing for such a place so far from the open road, but my best advice is to go with whatever the chef recommends , he would not reccomended any thing that is not good superb selection of local wines great service from staff that truly understand hospitality......

Dinner with 5 people, Raclette is very good, with many pork salumi, polenta and vegetables. Italian wine or artisan beer. Good sweets. Little and prety restaurant with low prices.

We spent three days in La Tana della Marmotta and enjoyed a lot the family atmosphere! Lynda Rose is the Chef, her husband picks the funghi porcini during the day in the forest, their son cares for the hotel, which turned out to be the ideal loaction for wonderful daytrips in the vale di stura. We would have liked to stay longer, enjoying the location, the good food and Tobia, their wonderful dog which turned out to be a soccer champion - you have to see it to believe it. Thanks for the time!

Siamo stati per mangiare crêpe al prosciutto e formaggio. Veramente buone ma un po' care. Speriamo che a forza di sentirlo a dire, magari rivedano il prezzo. Grazie

I often go to this small and cozy restaurant with for family meals, and I am always pleased. The cuisine is strictly local, and all ingredients are sourced locally. You can have a full meal (starter, pasta, main, dessert and wine) for just over 25 euros. Don't forget to try their crostata, the local version of a jam pie.A couple of years ago we were snowed in during the Winter, and we ended up staying there for the night. There are some rooms above the restaurant and they are simple, but extremely clean and comfortable.Last but not least, the little village of Strepeis is very nice. A go-to place for hikers and for spa-goers (there's a renowned spa within walking distance from the restaurant).

Hotel Corborant, 1300 a.s.l, is located just in front of the structure of the "Terme di Vinadio". It is provided with a beautiful swimming pool that is open during summer time (the access is possible also for external public), a huge playground and a conf
We had planned to drive home from out Italy Trip via the Austrian Alps, but a forecast of low cloud and Thunderstorms on that route forced a change of plan and we drove via Cuneo and the Maddalena Pass into France. After Cuneo we started looking for Hotels and found nothing worthwhile on the pass road. We stopped at a bar next to road juncion on the left and asked about hotels and were directed to take the road up to Bagni di Vinardio and stay at Hotel Corborant. We were glad we did, the location is delightful and the hotel clean and welcoming. It made our last night in Italy before entering France quite delightful with a good set dinner and an after dinner walk by the fast flowing river.I think a lot of the guests here were staying for a week or more.

I can see why this restaurant gets good reviews. To sum up: good food, good value and a good atmosphere.Having spent the afternoon wandering around this resort sussing out the restaurants, I'd chosen this place for the evening for its melanzane parmigiana followed by pizza, my choice among many possibilities. I went here at around 6 in the evening on a Sunday at the end of January (very much off-season) thinking I would book for later. However, there were no lights on and there was no reply to the telephone number given on the board outside for reservations â I thought maybe they were closed ...Luck had me in the same area around 18h50 and hooray! there were lights ... "Come back in 15 minutes ..." they said, "we'll be open". When I got back the place was already filling up rapidly (there are only 30 or so places inside). Happily they'd kept a table for me.Having already made my food choice, the wine choice was easy: a simple wine list, especially if you ignore the French wines (itâs an Italian restaurant!) which boiled down to a reasonably-priced Sicilian Nero d'Avola (11â¬50, if I remember correctly), or slightly over-priced Valpollicella or Chianti. Not a difficult choice. My starter was excellent, the pizza also: copieux the French would call it. But on top of that there was an extremely good ambiance created by the chef (Italian) who wandered round the room chatting up the ladies and kiddies, but also while cooking pasta over and in a regato cheese husk. All in all, an excellent, entertaining evening meal and very good value.

Me and my husband stopped this week one night at this mountain hut during our ski touring tour from Castérino to Col de Larches. I have never seen such a welcoming like this before. The italian keeper, named Beppe was really lovely and speaking with him about the valley history was very interesting. Food was amazing, fresh home-made pasta for starter, then sausages and potatoes from the family garden...The breakfast was also great and big with toasted breads, ham...The dormitory is really huge, it is possible to take a hot shower...We spent all the afternoon outside on the patio, great place to sunbathing after an exhausting day! This place is perfect, don't hesitate to spend a night there, it is cheap and worth it!Ci teniamo a farti sapere che la tua recensione è stata gradita sorpresa.
