We enjoyed eating in such a beautiful old building with high ceilings and natural light on a sunny afternoon. Service was good, with the server very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with a delicious walnut and cranberry salad, large size for two of us to share. We chose the lasagna, which was wonderful, with small slices of meat instead of the ground beef. The hot bread with herbs and cheese was nice with this meal. With the pleasant Italian music in the background, it was easy to visit and enjoy a nice meal.

Four of us had dinner here for the first time and I can confidently say we will be back. It's Italian food, mainly different types of pasta, lasagna and manicotti. The food was so very flavorful yet not overwhelming in terms of feeling stuffed. The dinner salad was one of the best salads I've had in a long time in a restaurant and the dessert was great. Many of the sources are local too. And perhaps the nicest part was the charming mother daughter team running the place. This is the kind of restaurant that you really want to be successful not only for the food but because the owner and daughter are so very sweet. They also have gluten free options and vegetarian options. In fact my manicotti was a GF crepe wrapped around very tasty ingredients and if I didn't know it was GF I'd never have guessed.
We stopped for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was a soccer game on the medium flat screen TV and several people enjoying pizza, beer and TV. There was a good selection of IPs. No salad bar, bu the salad I ordered was fresh, with greens, small pieces of tomato, grated carrots and zucchini squash in lieu of cucumbers. I wish restaurants wouldn't do that substitution. It came with a packet of croutons and a small serving of salad dressing of one's choice. We ordered a thin crust, all meat pizza. The pizza was perfectly thin crusted however, it was greasy. After dabbing it with napkins, it was better. It is self service: you order at a window and pick up the pizza when called. My salad was brought to the table. The environment was friendly, comfortable and clean. The restroom, although small, was clean. The customers were of all ages.We hadn't been there for almost 10 years since our son was in college in Monmouth. It has not changed. It has always had good pizza. When selecting seating, you may want to avoid sittingnext to the video games. They are loud and not conducive to a peaceful lunch.
