I love Hugos, Backstreet Cafe & Caracoal(although Caracoal noisy) and had a good brunch here some time ago but dinner at Prego was far from Hugos best. The service was poor, very slow, the caprese salad awful(I sent it back) and food lukewarm and nothing special. The wine we choose was not available either. We were constantly bothered by water top ups (for just half an inch) to the point out glasses almost overflowed. Disappointed as I know Hugo can do better. No reason to return to Pregos I am afraid.

Located on Smith Street in Houston and serving authentic Italian cuisine, and an earned worldwide reputation as a top restaurant in a city of top restaurants. Damian's has welcomed movie stars, all-stars, legends and locals, proudly reaching that echelon
Arrived early and waited in the bar which was nicely sized and pleasant. The restaurant itself had a good atmosphere with very attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the dishes and were able to suggest adjustments according to our preferences which was great. Food was excellent. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

The only negatives were that our reservation did not mean anything and the restaurant is extremely loud. We arrived on time and waited for 30 minutes. The restaurant was extremely busy, but there were open tables, which was annoying. The meal was great as were the drinks. The arugula and avocado salad was fresh, the margherita pizza was cooked perfect with a crispy crust, and the short rib pasta was great.

After the astros game on 7/5(~2245) we tried to eat here. However, when we arrived the line was to the corner of Frankâs. & looking inside, the line was very deep. It was packed with locals wearing orange astros T-shirtâs, so Iâm assuming itâs very popular-the great reviews on TA must be correct, but just didnât want to wait

Inspired by a Old Country trattoria ambiance & classic Italian cooking, Grotto delivers a savory menu brimming with timeless recipes made on premises. Creations include many "Old World" signature dishes such as Neapolitan thin crust pizzas, Veal Kickerill
Grotto has a great energy and vibe, and the food is good. Iâve dined here four times, including hosting a very large party of roughly 50 people. Service generally very good with a few exceptions. Its part of Landryâs restaurant chain, which is a nice bonus. Outdoor seating is nice weather permitting. Have never had to wait long for a table.

With a lively, festive atmosphere that's reminiscent of a neighborhood trattoria, La Griglia is located in the River Oaks area of Houston, offering an enticing display of authentic Italian dining, complete with colorful Italian murals and artful cuisine.
Not only was the food amazing so was our waiter... Mr. Purdie always made sure we had everything we needed and was very punctual but not overbearing with his visits to our table.
