As our favourite pizzeria was closed we decided to try this one in the old town at about 13.00 hrs one August lunchtime. Some attempt had been made to brighten up a gloomy room in a very old building of no distinction. On entry we found 12 people already seated, of whom 4 were eating. A pleasant enough waitress showed us to a table and then disappeared for just under 10 minutes before returning to take our order. It was a further 25 minutes before our pizzas appeared and this was the truly disappointing bit. Although slightly crispy round the edges, the whole of the rest of the base was damp and floppy - generally the consistency of a sheet of pasta. We were unable to finish it. I will certainly not be returning.
