First, I'll tell you the good: The service was excellent. The bread sticks are GREAT, and the salad was good. It was all downhill from there. The food tastes like the stuff you buy pre-made at the grocery store. Nothing is truly home-made. The ravioli tasted just like the ones you get at Safeway or Costco. The Chicken Marsala tasted like it was made with powdered garlic and other quick ingredients. When I go out and pay high prices for restaurant food, I expect it to be better than what I can make at home. But frankly, my cooking would be much better than what we experienced -- and that's not saying much. In fact, the Oliver Garden (which almost no one would call authentic or "gourmet") puts out a much better quality product. Better yet, stick to one of Grass Valley's other Italian restaurants as recommended much higher on the list in TripAdvisor.

Had the combination pizza and wasn't expecting much. The crust was great and the whole pizza was very tasty. We Will definitely return. Not much atmosphere, suspect most people order to go. Large sitting area, sports TV running. Cook, staff very pleasant. Our veterinarian also recommends the eggrolls, will try in the future. Easy access from Hwy 49, not far from downtown Grass Valley.

We stopped here for dinner while staying in the area. It was a great place to grab a pizza and beer while watching a football game. They have a good variety of beers on tap including some dark beers for those who believe beer going in should not be the same color as it is coming out. The pizza menu has a lot of good varieties as set combinations in addition to create your own. Prices are reasonable. The place can get crowded and a bit noisy so go early if you don't like crowds. Overall a great locally owned place to eat. We will be back!

After finding "Mountain Mike's" pizza as a best restaurant in another town, according to Tripadvisor , I resolved not to take these reviews seriously. I cannot believe four Italian restaurants in Grass Valley are better than this one. Anyway, I am a restaurant addict, with italian cuisine my favorite. I am coming back tomorrow to this restaurant to try their veal picatta, as the pasta i had today was superb. We are here for mountain wild flowers super bloom, and are rerouting our trip to return here tomorrow. Loved this place.

My husband and I made reservations for ourselves on a Friday. The restaurant was busy, but our table was ready and our server was on point! I had the sole that was on special and enjoyed every bite! My husband had the gorgonzola steak. We both enjoyed our meals immensely, loved the atmosphere, and the staff was delightful! Will be back! Thank you, ngremmy, for your 5 star review.
