Decor: stark. Clarity as to how to order: poor. We did finally spot a couple of photocopies of a menu after another patron gave us the hint that we had to look on the counter for them. Amenities: napkins, plastic forks & knives, salt, pepper and grated parmesan cheese etc. were found sitting on another counter nearby. That's ONE set of salt, pepper and cheese etc. for the whole place, with a sign posted saying, "Please do not keep the condiments at your table - return them here," something to that effect. It was quite busy, so maybe their pizza is wonderful. Or maybe their location near local hotels and the university just keeps fresh victims coming in. We'll never know because we are not going back. The prices were not especially cheap and our dishes were tasteless. I had eggplant rollatini, which was a reheated, squishy affair unadorned with any discernible spice. The red sauce was equally bland and thin. My husband ordered pasta with Marinara sauce. This was even more thin and watery-looking than mine, and when I sampled a taste I swear it tasted of fish. So, if you feel brave, go in and try their pizza ... but order pasta dishes at your own risk. We'll take a pass next time and go somewhere else - anywhere else.

Went here for dinner after catching a show at MusicalFare with some friends. Warmly greeted and said we could pick our table (it was kind of slow). We all ordered something different: Lasagne, Manicotti, Chicken Parm., and Brasciole. My wife doesn't care for eggs so asked our server to find out if the Brasciole had eggs in it - it didn't so my wife ordered it. While waiting for our meals, which came with soup or salad, our server brought over some nice warm Italian bread and poured out some creamy pesto in a small bowl to dip the bread into. It was so good, our server had to fill the pesto up for us, we enjoyed it so much. Our dinners came, and were all very good. Portions were a nice size and we all took some home with us. Prices are good and server is good too. Lots of choice from Pasta, Pizza, Seafood, Wings and many sandwiches. Have been here before and the sandwiches are very good.

I am new to the area and asked around for a good, traditional pizza place. La Porta was mentioned, and I was not disappointed. Pizza was very good and at a low price. Service was also very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. I will definitely be returning!

Seating time honored, waiter took cocktail order, menu selection 30 minutes for salad arrival, soup another 20 minutes, sent back, as luketwarm, pasta plate over cooked.Advised host halfway through dinner service below normal expectations, appears staffing inadequate.Mgr enquired just prior to bill arrival, advised our displeasure.

First time there. I have several food restrictions. Got there early to ask questions from Host. Approved instead of soup or salad, a second side dish. Ordered the Veal Marsala. The meat was extremely tender. A decent portion size. Nice surprise at the end when our server said could order for takeout, the exact meal for $ 10 ! The first was $ 23. Included an entire loaf of the Italian bread. We are going there again next month - itâs quite a distance from where we all live. Hope the surprise is still available.

Went here for dinner with family. We were sat right away. I ordered a house salad to start with balsamic dressing which was decent. Variety of greens and the common veggie variety for a house salad, all fresh.I ordered the shrimp scampi for my entree. It was decent. Good sized shrimp on the top but way too much liquid on the bottom of the bowl. The linguine was definitely not drained enough with that much liquid on the bottom of the bowl. Our waiter was pleasant and courteous. What really upset me was one of their waiters or busboys was vaping in the restaurant in Plain view and on top of that he blew his smoke towards open top water pitchers. The same water pitchers they were using to serve us and other tables. Utterly disgusting and made me promise to never come back to this place again. I didn't think vaping in a restaurant was allowed (not sure on the law) but to visibly blow the smoke at the tops of the open water pitchers is disgusting and unsanitary. I'll never come back to this place. We will look into this. Vaping is not allowed by customers or employees. We do not use pitchers to fill anything what were you referring too. Everyone water is filled at the bar. Please email us some more information. [email protected]

We visited Santora's while staying at a hotel down the street. The restaurant has a large bar and lots of TVs. We sat in the dining area in a booth. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Our pizza was very hot and good. The Caesar salad was fresh, crisp and good. We enjoyed our visit and would return.

Stopped here with friends before a show. I had pan seared Salmon which was GREAT! Friends had Acadia Fish & Chips which looked twrrific. They said it was good. We started with stuffed banana peppers, good but needed 1 more to the serving.Service was outstanding. The noise from the packed bar area was hardly noticeable. I've heard the wood fired pizza is good so we'll haveto go back.
