This once great bastion of culinary excellence is beginning to look a bit like the kitchen equivalent of Manchester United. Used to winning awards and being the âgo to placeâ it seems that Dolce is on the wane and in a transitional period. I have been going fairly regularly (approx 3 times a year for past five years) and would not have hesitated to give 4 or 5 stars in the past but this is now an establishment living on past glories. During my last few visits (particularly the most recent one in August) the service was atrociously slow, and we had to beckon them over by going up to the counter after waiting a long time. The starters were lovely (and the highlight) but the main steak was bland. I had also eaten a penne arrabiata in there a few weeks before and it was watery and not nice. The Italian owner is a lovely gentleman and I hope he and the Dolce team can look upon this positively to regenerate what should become a hidden gem once more. And by regenerate (poor service), they need to add urgency (itâs too slow- take note, others have commented the same), the steaks need revisiting (also others have commented) my gripe was the tbone was very bland... come on dolce!! Youâre better than this...We are so sorry to hear of your experiences at Dolce Caffe. We are quite frequent visitors here. Very convenient for local shops station and cinema. We were here with our sons family. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the food. As for me I am disappointed this time. We ordered various dishes but mine was cold and the pasta hard. Sent it back to be replaced. Some time later I got a very hot replacement. Usually the service is quite good and friendly. This visit was not up to expectations. Surly and muttering server did not help. We will probably not return.

Ate here last night with friends and loved it. Wonderful selection of dishes to choose from and we all had something different. No one was disappointed! Very attentive service. Make reservations as it could be crowded. I had the tagliatelle and it was excellent. My wife loved her scallops!

Although the food and service can't be faulted, the popularity of this restaurant makes it very cramped and extremely noisy to the point that conversation at normal level is impossible. The car-park is very small and alternative street parking is lmited

We came to this wonderful restaurant in May when we were celebrating our Ruby Wedding. Lovely and cosy just the two of us.. Denham village is the perfect setting for this Italian restaurant. ... it's charming and just a beautiful village.. time has not spoilt it .. just how it should be. Da Remo is just the same .. the minute you walk in .. you feel the charm and warmth of the place.. The food was delightful and so much choice. . The night we went was a Tuesday. .and it was a full house..Thank heaven's we had booked.The atmosphere was amazing everyone talking and laughing. . sharing stories catching up on what's been going on. All who work there are brilliant. . so friendly and helpful. .We shall definitely be coming back to Da Remo. . as we would like to try their Sunday lunch. Well done.
