If you find yourself in the Fujisawa / Enoshima area and it’s not Monday, get off the train in Shonandai and stop into this amazing Spaghetti House that has been feeding locals in the exact same spot for 40 years. The area has seen massive growth and expansion but this creative and unique restaurant has survived which is all the testimony you need to know you’ll be well fed here. Stop in and tell the amazing chef / owner (Matsumoto sensei) that Jamie sent you and enjoy.
What to do and see in Fujisawa, Japan: The Best Places and Tips

I visited this place by the Ocean about four years ago, and it was a pleasure to return with friends, to find the young chefs as creative as ever, offering a variety of fashionable Italian (even Tuscan) dishes. We sampled their pickled antipasti, which were more inspired by Fusion, but with good raw ham and very good home-made bread. One bruschetta was offered with 'sausages', and they tasted authentically Tuscan, with aniseed and authentic flavour, but the chef confirmed they made them themselves. The risotto was perfect, the tagliolini ai porcini excellent. A wonderful experience in a very simpatica atmosphere. Well done! Ganbatte, neh.

Capricciosa has a lot of delicious Italian foods and they are in favor with many people. This restaurant’s name “Capricciosa” means “whim” in Italian. The first house opened in Shibuya Tokyo in 1978. The varieties of dishes are great appetizers, fresh salads, elastic pizzas, many varieties of pastas, sweet desserts, and many kinds of drinks. Cooks use fresh, moderate sweetness and acid tomatoes which are directly imported from Italy, so we can enjoy in earnest Italian foods. The pastas have two sizes of dishes which are Regular (for one person) and Large(for 2 or 3 persons), so we can take the best volume. Moreover we can select own set course in the range. They also have seasonal dishes, drinks, and daily cakes. After the meal we can have a cup of coffee or tea service. The service is not only for foods, friendly and kind clerks do something surprise on birthday or some special day and a patronage. I recommend you Spaghetti with garlic and hot chili pepper in tomato sauce (\950/1,810). This is one of the popular menus. It tastes a little hot but not so much so you can eat it if you cannot eat hot foods. Pumpkin tart (\458) is delicious too for dessert. It tastes thick with plenty fresh cream. You can go to this restaurant with your friends, family, by yourself and so on. Actually, it costs a little higher than other chain restaurants but the taste is worthwhile. Then the restaurants are opened many places not only in Japan but also in the world.
We stopped on our way from Enoshima back to Tokyo, and we're so glad we did. All the food is made from interesting, delicious ingredients, and is beautifully presented. Without doubt the best food we've had in Japan, and the best food I've had anywhere in recent memory. Stunning!

Had great expectations looking at the premises and the atmosphere... but wasn't really so great. Pizza was not up to the mark, crust was rubbery pepper sauce saved the lunch infact. It could be considered as an option when you are in Enoshima but definitely not a must visit.

We went on a Monday, overcast and rainy...no crowds. Probably this place is packed in the summer, but we enjoyed a quiet late lunch on the outdoor balcony overlooking the ocean. Our meal: fresh vegetables with hot anchovy-based dip sauce, seafood salad with special dressing, soft-shell crab sandwich with soup, pickles (Italian style--yummy), followed by Japanese tea-flavored chiffon cake served over vanilla gelato with fresh whipped cream and hot coffee. Everything was delicious! someone in the kitchen really knows what they're doing.

Besides the great food, the place also has a beautiful view of the sea, Enoshima and also we could see Mt. Fuji. We strongly recommend afternoon drinks by the terrace and a delicious dinner.
