We had dinner here last night. Very local diner with great pizza. Service was friendly and quick. One of the best pizzas of our entire trip. A nice selection of local wines also. We met the young son of the owner, Mateo. He was learning English and we had a great time trying to practice our Italian while he practiced his English. Good food, great service. Grazie mille!

I often come here with my friends to spend an evening in the fresh air, surrounded by mountains.Outside, ample space with tables inside, Local spacious and rustic (with open fire in winter).good pizza in a wood oven, the staff were helpful and friendly offering good service, rustic.prices average.I recommend it especially in summer, when it gets very hot .. here you will find a pleasant breeze that will make you a wonderful evening !!

Comfortable seating outside, good service, very good food â This restaurant is one more venue in this town that has been able to maintain a quite good standard over the last few years, and thatâs properly reflected in the customerâs high rate of return. This time we had âbaccalaââ, thatâs salted codfish, a very traditional Italian way of preparing cod. Spaghetti with baccalaâ were very good, the fish was tasty and tender and the sauce delicious. Also the pizza with baccalaâ (a version of pizza not easy to find) was really good.Definitely a restaurant to keep in mind also for friendsâ invitation.

In late September this year, we were part of a small group of seven Australians travelling through Southern Italy. We have been travelling together on an annual basis for the past nine years. We found "La Locanda" a delight. The food and service was impeccable and at a reasonable tariff, ----- and the complimentary series of local spirits proved to be a delight.Mary would like to make special mention of the host Pinuccio who was particularly helpful and gracious in arranging for emergency dental treatment with his friend Dottore Vincenzo Piragini. His courtesy has not been forgotten.

A beautiful place with delicious food. Everything fresh and service was great. Very friendly staff and helpful. The owner made a phone call for us to reserve a room in tropea without reserve. Very gracious lady.

Lovely building, a fantastic service and delicious food. The cod was superb and we got an inexpensive and very good wine. It was just unbelievable to find such a great restaurant in this small town. What I will never forget was the lovely lady (owner) who after our second dinner there gave us a sightseeing tour in their wine cellar.

We were recommended this restaurant by our B&B owner. The restaurant had good ranges of menu with meat, fish and vegetables. The dishes were delicious with not too typical of the dishes. I had marinated salmon with pistachios and it was great! The shef seems experimenting with menu therefore few interesting, unique menu such as angel hair spaghetti with saffron and squid. It was something I never tried before and I think it's depend of people's preference of flavor but I liked it!The stuff and shef were very helpful for us to pick from the menu, tried to explain if we did not understand the Italian. They also prepared nice dish of vegetables for vegetarian in our group and there were beautiful.Nice that there is an outdoor area to sit and enjoy the night in this local restaurant.

Went for dinner. There is no menu, just evening specials (couple choices of pasta, meats). You also have no idea of pricing. The co-owner (it is a father-daughter business) was very enthusiastic in explaining the dishes and extolling the quality of each item, pointing out how each was made from local ingredients, in-house, and with traditional practices. The antipasti was incredible, home cured meats, cheeses, zucchinni fritters, and other treats. It was almost a meal in itself. Pasta was good, not great but with a huge portion that we split. The red house wine was also very good. Very busy the night we were there (a Saturday night), go early or book ahead. Total bill was on par with other restaurants we ate at in Southern Italy.

Our tour group had a fun evening with delicious food, wine and entertainment. We had a vast selection of what I would call appetizers, they just kept coming. All different homemade starters along with Italian meats and cheeses, this along with what seemed to be unlimited wine. There was 2 young men playing accordion and tamborine. Very talented. The accordion player also played the guitar. Our group even got up and danced. It was a wonderful evening.Seek it out if you are in the area.
