Without any doubt this restaurant looks different from the usual around Rome. Nice menù with some interesting suggestions, city (this is second time) that the pasta and rentrée were TOO salty...it killed the taste. Service is ok, nothing great - maybe because it was a Sunday - Wine list good and reasonable. Parking ok.

Arrived terribly tired, after walking 30 kms on the Via Francigena. Had to wait 2 hours before the ostel hopened. I felt lost. Then suddenly I found myself in heaven. The lady owner of this place was so gentle and supportive I felt immediately better. The rest is a story of wonderful food, served by authentic gentle people, in a medieval square in Formello. The menu del Pellegrino is 12 euros + beverages. We had antipasto di salumi (not supposed to be included in this menu but the owner decided we deserved it :)Tagliolini cacio pepe e cicoria, never had so good.Salsiccia and vegetables so tasty!Local wine 2 lit for 4 peopleMineral water sparklingTotal 62 euros for the 4 of us - pretty unbelievable.Service perfect (even the blanket for managing the cold of eating outside in a fall evening). All this while we enjoyed the authentic serene life of the family who runs the place - it was like to eat at home with our family, but in that beautiful setting. I am so grateful that in Italy is still possible to enjoy such quality of life.To the owners: Thank you very much, for the great food and human experience.

When a local Italian friend offered to take me to this out of the way restaurant in the outskirts of Rome, I wondered why we would go so far and on a seemingly remote road and village. But now I know the secret that Romans know of how amazing this place is. The food I ate was just amazing and left me dreaming of when I would go back again. The place was full of Italians and I ate Kyobe beef and stunning vegetables like chickory and artichoke done Roman style and fresh homemade bread and anti pasta like nowhere before. The atmosphere inside the small restaurant is divine with small beautiful decorated rooms and tables and a stunning visible cellar with incredible choice of wine . The deserts were also amazing !!! I can not wait to go again and I will certainly make this a yearly trip when I come to re from Australia each year. My Italian friend advised that it is always good to book in advance as it is very popular and you may not get a table otherwise . Definitely a Michelin quality place

I have been there for saturday lunch with family. The setting is a picturesque alleyway in Formello's old town. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We had really tasty pasta of tonnarelli with cheese and walnut. We also had a delicious main course arrosticini with cicoria and we ended lunch with âla biondinaâ a mouthwatering dessert. As a bonus, they use local suppliers. Overall was a really pleasant experience and It is definitively a place I recommend visiting.
The first thing to say is this is a a venue for all occasions. The hanging baskets and outdoor seating area are beautiful! We started off with the antipasto Nera - I couldnât recommend this more highly. A variety of Italian dishes including crunchy focaccia, steak tartare with golden kiwi as well as steak in red berry and apricot sauce.. absolutely delicious. For mains we had bucatini allâamatriciana - it was a very healthy portion and I couldnât stop eating. Everything was accompanied with some amazing red wines. This place is just great, you are greeted with a smile by everyone, the staff are fantastic and the food is just as good!10/10 would recommend.

If you're looking for delicious authentic Italian flavors, premium quality at an affordable price, go to 7su7!You can see that the staff has been well trained by the service, they are fast, responsive and lovely. The restaurant is inside a sporting center, the decoration is modern and well renovated, I loved the minimalist spirit.Last but not least, the food is just delicious! I am in love with their truffle pizza and their pasta with a coconut sauce and shrimp carpaccio dish, it is heaven. Do not forget to try their shrimp crispy appetizer. See the pictures for more :D!Do not miss this restaurant if you are in the region!!

Now have been several times to this tiny and cozy restaurant in Formello. The food is always very goos - variety limited to fresh produce - well cooked, tasty and very unusually presented. Home made pastas and main course are great. Fresh fish is often served. Great deserts and a fabulous house wine, plus a good wine list make this place a treat. Must try.

Pizzeria with wood oven, situated in the center of Castelnuovo di Porto, a typical village a few kilometers from Rome, pizza dough with Roman and Neapolitan buffalo mozzarella cheese, home-made cakes.
Catelnuovo is well worth visiting itself, typical beautiful Italian small town. Italians living in Rome will either eat at their local place or if not, they will drive out of the city to find fantastic restaurants like Frantoio with real Italian food! The waiters are friendly and helpful, and it is not expensive! Order a mix of everything for the antipasti. You can drink good vines for less than 10 euros a litre. The pizza is marvellous, actually the best I have ever eaten in Italy. Everything is homemade! You can choose between many different pizzas. Just remember the pizzas are not small, two persons can easily share one. So if you get tired of the touristic places in Centro Storico, now you know where to go to see everyday life in Italy.

I was really hungry having driven all day. Starters of various fried cheese croquettes was absolutely tasteless. Ribs for the main course were covered in an awful sweet sludgy goo. Even the ice cream was poor
