Si raggiunge da Pieve, partendo dalla Pizza Valle d'Aosta a fianco della chiesa arcipretale e proseguendo da li per 3 kilometri.
Be forewarned: the drive to the restaurant from Fiera is terrifying. The other option is hiking, but it will take 45-90 minutes to hike there, depending on your fitness level. The food is home-style and delicious. Nothing elaborate, but perfect in its own way. The service is also warm and friendly. If you hiked up, you might be able to get the proprietor to arrange a drive back down for you for just a few Euros.

A nice menue card and a long wine list. Food of good quality prepared with skill and imagination to go along with superb local wines, which can be recommended by waiters. Main courses for 15-26 Euro. A glass of wine for 3-6 Euro.I am pleased to commend on the attentive personnel! The interior design is a bit old-fashioned, though. I was missing windows on the first floor...

This restaurant has a very good reputation with locals, and we weren't disappointed. Does both pizzas and tasty local Trentino food. There is a huge car park and the location is spectacular, with a mountain stream running alongside and mountains towering overhead. Prices are reasonable - due to having had a full breakfast we only had two starters, a beer and a bottle of mineral water, for â¬24.

we had 3 days in this area and tried the #1, 2 and 3-rated restaurants. this place is #1 and DEFINITELY stands apart from 2 and 3. First the location. WAY up on the mountains on a farm. Saying this place is hard to find is an understatement... it takes committment. especially since the tripadvisor map is wrong and the address given there (and on the restaurant's own website even) doesn't work on google maps. it's not hard to see why when you finally get there. i had a local (my hostess on my tripadvisor vacation rental) lead me up there after we couldn't find it the night before.first the location... get on via caltena like tripadvisor shows. there are even signs in town pointing the way. that part's easy. what they don't say is that it's like 6 or 10km up the road... the only trick is to keep going and going and going as the road narrows, then narrows some more, then goes up and up steeper and more steep... if you are seeing lots of sheep and goats and fields, then you're heading the right direction. then you pass another restaurant(!) and 1km past that one is the rigugio caltena. it's very large but popular with locals so make reservations.the family runs it. mamma (i think) is in the kitchen and is perhaps the best italian chef i have ever tasted. best meal we had in italy and we were in all of the big cities (rome, venice, naples, florence, milan). the food is all local dishes and prepared farm fresh. the portions are ENOURMOUS, so i would suggest sharing mains or ordering just firsts. no english menus, so be prepared. the building itself (and location up on the mountain side in a flat field) is an incredible dining experience in european style.the only thing to mention is that the service is not typical 'fine dining'/serve from the right with many forks type of service from experienced wait-staff. your food is served by the young family that owns the place with style and grace and a warm smile. the wine came without a wine list (they told me what they had in italian and i guessed...) and was opened and placed on the table without the typical tasting and pouring 'ceremony'. i think this 'homey' service is another part of the charm of the place, but everyone may not agree.

We've stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try! It was a very pleasant surprise! Nice views, excellent service and a really good pizza -we've ordered the focaccia version(with double pizza dough) and it was really yummy! Prices are also reasonable, and they are very dog friendly :)

In an area that in my opinion does not shine for the abundance of good restaurants,, this Osteria was a pleasant surprise. The menu is enticing, combining local influences with those of other regions and modern idea. The cuisine is simple but tasty, and the flavours are generally good. I liked a simple pasta (pici) with a rich tomato sauce, as well as grilled octopus, perfectly tenderised. Less successful was an Iberico pork that was a little tough and dried out, and moreover did not express the expected delicious flavour. But an oven cooked monkfish with olives and cherry tomatoes was exemplary, probably the best dish of the evening. Service might not be the most careful (for example they forgot to bring us the amuse bouche that we noticed -too late- was being served to all other tables) but it is so friendly and pleasant that everything is forgiven! (And they dealt with a problem WE created in a very amicable way). Prices are not high, the room is inviting.Overall, an enjoyable dinner and a place I might return to to try more dishes.

Trendy restaurant with service and cuisine Very accurate , room Gourmet La Pajara and tables on the terrace . Preparations of reinterpretations of local dishes and seafood cuisine with high quality ingredients , desserts Very inviting . Careful selection
The menu is creative and enticing, and the bread basket appealing. We were initially hesitant in choosing seafood in this restaurant at the foot of the mountains, but the results went beyond our expectations. A seafood and vegetable 'frittura' was very tasty, well fried, with the freshness of the produce in evidence, as in all other dishes. Like for example 'cappellacci' filled with vegetables, coming with lovely langoustines and a brilliant tomato sauce made with very sweet tomatoes. And a grilled octopus was also spectacular.Slight weakness in the desserts. Macarons "sandwiches" with white chocolate were nicely presented and pleasant, but the chefs perhaps have not yet mastered the art of macaron making (they felt more like a crispy meringue, lacking the typical 'gooeyness' in the middle).Service by young waiters was professional and friendly. The room in modern mountain style is elegant and pleasant, and in the Summer you can also dine outside. Prices are very reasonable for the quality.
