I have been here few times but tonight I have ordered a pizza that I wish everyone had the chance to eat, at least once. Mari e monti with a mozzarella ball in the middle. Controversial I thought before ordering but when I began to eat it. Omg. Sorry I Couldn't stop to take a picture so just go and order it! Do we need a bad point about this place? Well, here is one ... I am sweating to move my schedule around to go there again soon!!!

Restaurant Alla Rosa is one of the best restaurants that we'd dined at while in Italy. It is located in the small town of Lusiana and we came here for a friend's wedding. The night before the wedding we had a big dinner with friends. The restaurant is open late (about midnight), which was a nice change, coming from Austria where all the restaurants close about 9 p.m.We ordered fresh gnocchi, fresh fettuccine with cream sauce and mushrooms, pizza with prosciutto crudo, two glasses of wine and two desserts (tiramisu and something else that I can't remember).Gnocchi - it was perfectly cooked, slightly chewy, tossed with herbs and a light sauce that didn't overpower the gnocchi. Fettuccine - al dente, cream sauce that wasn't heavy, fresh mushroom. Wood fire oven pizza - tons of proisscuito crudo. All of this cost us about 30 euro for two people. At the wedding the next day, we had more amazing food, six course meals with never ending supply of prosecco and wine, again, very fresh and delicious. The day after the wedding we had the continental breakfast, which again was very affordable (7 euro/person) for a large amount of food - cappuccino, cold cuts, fresh bread and pastries, fresh cheese, fresh fruit.Cinzia, the lady that took care of us while we were there is amazing - she was very accommodating and friendly - she should be employee of the year.Overall, if you are in Lusiana area, Alla Rosa is highly recommended. Thanks a lot for your so kind words!

Here we go with another treat...this time heading toward Venice...actually there are plenty of places where to go around that part...I'll be precise then: Molvena in very close to Marostica...a ancient castle with walls surrounding an entire hill...is very nice, plus, every 2 years in August there is a reproduction between two families (live Montague and Capulets, but a little more intellectual...not playing for parties and girls...but a human chess game (in original middleage clothes) to give the princess in wife...to the most intelligent man in town! How romantically bizarre! If you wanna go, next challenge will be August 2018!....anyway...never heard about Bassano del Grappa!? Google it! Is another pearl in the area just few km away...So...do you like great traditional and seasonal food (cropped few meters away the restaurant...)? Do you like hills and artistic lowland and eventually an escape to Venice (especially if you are driving from Bergami/Milan/Brescia...a stop here is highly suggested)? Do you like middleage stuff, including chess? ...ah! almost forget...if you will be happy with the delicious wine you may thing to stay to sleep...is also a very clean B&B costs around 80⬠for a great suite. Another one quite important...have a chat with Floris...he will be very happy to offer you a great local Grappa after dinner!

I've travelled extensively throughout Italy and spend lots of time in this area and can honestly say this is the best pizza in Italy. There's a good range of combinations that you don't get on the usual predictable menu that most pizza parlours have (you can even get jalapenos which is most unusual in this neck of the woods!). The family and staff are all friendly and you always get service with a smile, in total contrast to the sullen expressions and scowls that unfortunately we've become used to in Veneto! Of added interest for cycling fans is the memorabilia dotted about the place, and the photos of some of the greats such as Marco Pantani.

Ottimi i dolci. Prezzi assolutamente popolari.

The delightful luncheon at Il Torchio Antico was one of the highlights of my tour of Palladian Villas in the Veneto. On site on the beautiful grounds of Villa Godi-Valmarana, our tour group of 17 were seated at one table. We started with Tagliere di salumi della Pedemontana con perle di Asiago e miele. Each person's serving of the local salami was huge and contrasted wonderfully with the local cheese drizzled to taste with local honey. The main course was Filetti di maialino in crosta di speck con patate al romarino e verdure. Succulent pork with wonderfully aromatic potatoes and roasted vegetable; all were delicious. The dessert was simple but a wonderful complement to the rest of the meal: Barchetta di ananas con crema di cioccolate caldo.Service was impeccable.
