Our restaurant is housed in the renowned Club House of the Udine Golf Club in Fagagna, one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, a dozen kilometres from Udine and San Daniele. In the heart of Friulian landascape surrounded by hills, once here you'll be
I decided to go to the Villaverde Ristorante on a night out with girls.I booked a table for three adults and five children (10-8-6-4-4 years old)We had a warm welcome from the manager of the restaurant who prepared our table in a separate room. The room was equipped with two comfy armchair and a TV that children could you use to watch cartoon so that we actually our "mommy conversation".The food was simply delicious. We had a risotto zucchini e gamberetti, which was well presented and very tasty. We had a pollo grigliato e guancettine di manzo con polentaâ¦delicious! Our children indulged with hamburgers, club sandwich and fries. Every one was satisfied and happy. The atmosphere was very relaxing⦠a gem in the middle of the Friulian hills! Highly recommended!

With a little 'of perplexity we stopped to Madrisio in this "Cusine" weighing the risk of finding a peasant improvisation. For this we asked a snack just to evaluate quality, service and thickness of the inn. We gradually changed our minds and we almost ended with a lunch.Well, really well.I believe that these examples of culinary authenticity of Friuli, or even mixed with the Italian one, have the right vehicle to the growing reputation of tourism in this county in a context of village and more in a building that does not lend itself to revisiting architectural ostentatious. Together to welcome, respect of small customer needs, simple simplicity of manner, furniture consistent with tradition and especially free from kitsch, good wine, the cuisine of Lady Di Plai elevate the "Kitchen La Brente" to a must of the area Fagana- San Daniele.Meaningful and coherent exclusion of the use of credit cards ( sic), the medieval gastronomic evenings (no silverware !!!) organized for merry parties, authenticity of wall decor that, while referring to times nostalgic, retains a touch of right-thinking that in this society consumption now missing ("Respect the bread")!

Our natural, vegan and organic cuisine offers appetizers, large salads, first and second courses, pizzas and desserts, with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Centrifuged to drink, craft beers and local wines carefully selected. We have a large roof terrace
I was craving some healthy food and I discovered so much more here. Tasty treats, great ambiance, gorgeous decor and a beautiful view. Great options for those with food allergies and no compromise on taste. Fresh, fab and definitely worth a return visit.

simple trattoria at the entrance area but elegant restaurant at the rear. Very tasteful decorated and table layout. Actually we only wanted a small dinner but ended up with steak and shrimps and a cheese platter. The recommended wine selection was excellent to the food and the hostess very attentive and knowledgeable.

If you have never heard of the famous Chianina beef then you had better look it up before going to this restaurant. They prepare it exactly as perscribed by the Chianina association. The "T-bone" is cut approximately 2 inches thick and the steak is then sliced up and served individually. They leave the bone so you can gnaw on it later. The meat is flawless, so tender you can cut it with a fork. The only condiment you may need is some olive oil drizzled on top. A reservation has to be made 24 hrs ahead to prepare the meal. A full meal is offered, all based on this prized meat, the tartar is especially good. The owner can a be a little snooty, but it's worth it.

We spent a lovely morning in Cividale at the Archeological Museum and the Lombard Chapel (which is a UNESCO Heritage site). Both excellent. At lunchtime we headed towards San Daniele del Friuli and stopped at Casale Cjanor. The decor is "country house" charming and there is a very inviting open fireplace on one side of the dining room. We also noticed another dining room which is probably used for functions. Smallgoods and wild meats such as goose and wild boar are specialities here. We ordered a small goods platter, polenta with venison, "pestat" which is a Friuli speciality awarded Slow Food Presidium, some other entrees, two desserts, coffee and Grappa, as well as mineral water and house wines. Our bill for 4 came to 110 Euro, which was not the cheapest, but certainly worth going to for the originality of the menu, the place (it is a real agriturismo just outside Fagagna) and great service with professional staff. On the way back to Veneto we noticed stork nests on top of very tall lightpoles. Then all of a sudden we saw that two of the nests were occupied by Mrs. Stork, and we stopped to take a few photos. That was the icing on the cake. We will definitely try and return here, maybe to stay overnight too.

Who knew that such culinary bliss would be hidden just around the corner from our holiday base of Martignacco? Every dish was delightfully executed and the service was warm and friendly. Imagine if you went to your best friends' house and they happened to be stupendous chefs - then you will have some idea of what is in store for you here. The extensive selections of local wines and cheeses made me long for a return visit. The prawn entree I had simply melt in my mouth and the fish was hands down the best fish dish I have ever eaten. I'm writing this with a full belly and a happy heart just mentally savouring the flavours. This really is a special place and the surroundings are gorgeous.

Why you would go to Italy and have a burger I donât know! We arrived here because the restaurant we wanted to go to was over booked. Out of desperation and hunger we decided to give this a try. The food was mediocre. I had a pizza which was horrible, the rest of my family had burgers and they said they were ok. We were there with my grandsons, 2 months and 2 years. The service was so horrible, they totally ignored us and seated us in the warmest part of the restaurant, the thermometer read 33 Celsius. We asked to be moved outside, but totally ignored us. We were charged for bread, which we never got, and I was charged for extra toppings I didnât ask for. Over all I would truly avoid. I honestly felt compelled to write this to keep people from making a mistake, with so many excellent options in the area.
