This place is so small, you'll pass it by if you blink. Don't blink. Don't pass it by. Stop in. You'll have the dining experience of a lifetime. Impressively dressed waiters. Impressive dinner menu. Impressive service. Impressive food. There wasn't anything NOT TO LIKE about this great little "find" located Uptown Albany on Central Avenue.Never been there before....will be going back soon. From appetizers to the bread to the entrees to dessert, it was an experience not to be missed. From the Eggplant Rollitini to Parmigiana, from exquisite chicken and veal dishes, and the amazing ending of Lemon Cake, you'll walk out completely sated.

On our quick evening in Albany we choose this place and we are glad we did. Comfortable feel immediately upon walking in. Itâs has separate rooms with different agendas in each. Bar with TVs and high tops. Dinner type area with tables then a music/bar areaWe sat in the dining area which was casual. Our server was engaging and gave plenty of tips on menu. We had the chili and French onion soup. Both were amazing The beer was great tooStreet parking only!

Cafe Capriccio has been a favorite dining destination in the Capital Region for the past 30 years. Capriccio is dedicated to the traditions of classic regional Italian cuisine and hospitality. Named Best Restaurant by METROLAND for 2012,2011, 2009. Voted
We had dinner here last night and with the exception of the dessert our appetizers, entrees and service was excellent. We were disappointed in the apple pie dessert. The crust was not as good as we expected. Full disclosure, my wife is great at pie making and bread making. Otherwise, everything was most enjoyable. The atmosphere is excellent. We've been here before and will return again for sure. Emma and another person who helped with serving our table did a great job making sure everything was as needed. My tuna with tapenade was as good as served to me in Sicily last year. Compliments to the kitchen staff for this entree.

Great Italian restaurant in Albany. We went here with a party of 7 for Easter dinner. The food was absolutely excellent and the service was amazing. Every one of us enjoyed their meals. Our waitress, Shani, could not have been friendlier or more efficient. She is by far the best server we have had in a long time anywhere. I was also here a couple of months ago with some other couples. We had great food and service then too. I will be back!

My friend from the office and I felt it was time to do dinner again and talk about the latest issues. We usually eat Mexican but this time we wanted to try someplace different, and he wanted Italian. I picked the place. An Italian restaurant that's been around for a while but is not well known. Neither one of us had been to Rose's so we were eager to check it out. The menu boasted of having the same chef for 35 years. Unfortunately, alcoholic beverages were not available because they were " between liquor licenses." We ordered the eggplant parmigiana appetizer to start. It arrived in one whole piece so we cut it up between us. Next time we should order two of them. The basket of bread was nothing special but I limit my eating of bread so I can eat the entrée. I ordered the lasagna with beef, which I often do in a restaurant since I will not go through the trouble of making it at home. My friend ordered cheese raviolis and two servings of sausage with it. The lasagna was quite good. My friend was very happy with the sausage which looked almost like kielbasa. We both agreed that the pasta was cooked just right. For desert we each had a ricotta-filled cannoli which were delicious. The restaurant had two seating areas. One seemed to be for larger groups, and an area in the front was ideal for couples. There were only two other couples in the restaurant and both were in the front section. I did not like being seated next to another couple but we arrived at 7 PM and the other couple had just finished eating and were leaving. It worked out. Before we left, I ordered a manicotti dinner to go for my wife. She ate it all and also felt that the pasta was cooked just right. The restaurant is a humble looking place. It is obviously family-run. The food, however, is better than you would expect so the $70 bill didn't surprise me but I wonder what it would be if we had alcoholic beverages as part of our meal. Anyway, I was happy we nearly had the restaurant to ourselves. This encourages me to return with my wife. I shy away from crowded establishments. As Yogi Berra once said, "no one goes there anymore because it's too crowded." This place had plenty of empty seats so I know we won't need a reservation.

The pizza was okay. Itâs a thin crust which I prefer. Antipasto was ok-good. Chicken Parms were throw-outs which hurt to do at $8.99 each. They did not have enough sauce and the chicken was like a poor version of chicken fingers but rubbery. Nobody could eat it and had the weather not been so bad, would have gone back. Instead the dogs dined on chicken and they gave it 5 stars.
This location has great reviews and Trip Advisor has never steered me wrong - until now. The Pros: nice staff; fresh, hot pizza; outdoor seating. Cons: completely bland pizza - no flavor at all. We ordered a large white pizza with sausage and mushroom. It was hot! But just no flavor. It surprised me. When I went into the office the next day, the locals were like "why did you go there?!". My response: I wanted something close - not driving to the other side of Albany to eat dinner. Sometimes the quick isn't always the best.

Picked up a variety of chicken wings for the party, including spicy bbq, garlic parm, mild and boneless plain. Of all the variety garlic parm and boneless parm did not satisfy us. Also, grabbed a couple slices of plain cheese pizza and it had good taste and nice thin and crunchy crust.
