We had drinks in here on a recent visit to Helensburgh and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience of the place! My husband and me remembered it as "the Imperial Hotel" back in the 70's when he was still in the Royal Navy... what a transformation! A very calm, interesting and peaceful venue - especially remembering the days of the "old Imps"! The staff were very helpful and the menu looked to be very good - I'm sure we'd have stayed to sample the food had not the grandchildren had their hearts set on fish suppers!We're so happy to have brought those fond memories! Thank you for your visit. We're bringing the hotel back soon so hopefully we'll see you again, maybe this time you'll stay with us for a night :)

Friendly staff with helpful tips on the food and drink menu. Orders taken at the table, drinks served from the cute bar. Comfy booths & tables available in this quirky little place filled with memorabilia & collectables. A lovely family vibe when we visited but could see this being a great spot for a party of friends later in the night.

Staying in Dunoon for 2 days and visited Rio Italian Restaurant in the Argyll Hotel. Well presented restaurant and friendly staff. Good service and good food. we Visit La Cantina reasonably regularly and are never disappointed. My recent visit was no different. VAried menu offering plenty of options. Food cooked to order and cooked well! Staff were pleasent and attentive. Dishes were well presented and very tasty. I happily recommend La Cantina and it wont be long until i am back for more.
