I stayed at the adjoining hotel and ate an evening meal here, the service was very good and waiter (owner) was very attentive, there is a good selection of meals including several fish dishes. i had the steak and it was cooked perfectly and very nice. The restaurant has great views of the river and surrounding scenery. I would happily eat there again even if not staying at the hotel.

I came here with a group of colleagues recently - it looked like a decent Italian. The starters were actually huge, especially the focaccia - enough for 2! The wine recommendation was excellent (not the most expensive either). I chose spaghetti aglio olio, it was one of the best, fiercely hot with fresh chilli. A very pleasant evening.

This restaurant is located in hotel Landhaus Milser, and if you are staying in this hotel, it is your obvious choice, as other restaurants will be quite far away (not walking distance). We tried this restaurant once while staying at the hotel. Restaurant was quite busy when we arrived at 7pm, but service was reasonably fast. The menu is offering large selection of dishes at the reasonable price - starters ~EUR 10-15, mains EUR 13-15 for Pastas and up to ~25 for fish/meat. I ordered antipast from the buffet and tomato soup. Antipasti were alright the only difference from normal salad bar was that I had to direct waiter who was actually filling my plate - I guess they are afraid someone will take too much? Both antipasti and soup were of reasonable quality. Wines are ~Eur 7-15 for small carafe. Overall, reasonable choice if you stay at the hotel, but nothing special

Visiting Vapiano @ Duisburg was a novelty. Having no experience with the concept (order anything from the menu whilst waiting at the counter for it to be freshly maid) the food, experience and ambiance where catchy. For sure it is appealing to some whereas others might not like having to stand in line for ordering and overviewing the meal-preparing process, but it was nice to experience it and it was great to taste it. Since my kids decided to order their own, our cues weren't the same. My kids don't speak any German at all but were greatly aided by a very approachable and helpful staff. This for sure aided in the scoring. What also helped was the great food and the tasty wine served, making it a near perfect diner experience. We paid around â¬80,- for starters, anti-pastas, pastas, drinks and wine and coffee (just for me). Sound fair to me. Downsides; indeed one could be standing for a while. Lighting matched ambience but could do with some more Lux.Pro's: experience, food, cooks, staff. Bonus: the area in which it is located, great setting.

I like to drive around Dûsseldorf and during last weekend we ended up in Mülheim an der Ruhr at the time of the diner. We entered in the restaurant Walkmuhle and immediately were surprised about the warm welcome we received. We were lucky enough to have a table in front of the open fire (not working during the warm days but I can already imagine myself during the winter were a fire would be crackling softly giving to the room a great romantic and relaxing ambiance). Sergey, the owner, gave us advices on the menu and it was great advises. We ate like kings, oysters, dorade fish, I took a steak cooked with a 800c professional beafer. Just amazing. While eating, the table next door ate some pasta with mushroom prepared inside a big parmesan cheese and I promised myself to come back to try it.Thank you a lot. We are ever glad to see you again. See you.

Went there against a bout of intermediate hunger. In short, the dose helped. But not more. The best were the small breads with butter given on the house. Furthermore, we had chosen the Pomodore con Cipolle "with spicy Italian sauce" ("pikante italienische Sosse"). Which turned out to be the usual out-of-the-bottle light-red fat salad gravy. Italian?? The pizza, as a standard test equipment, was not bad from the side of the anchovies, but on a seriously not-Italian, soft, not-thin dough covered with a not-Italian cheese. Finally, broccoli al forno was okay. Pepper grinder on request only, no olive oil on the table.Don't. Go. If you have an alternative.

Exklusive Italienische Ristorante, exzellente Küche, beste italienischen Restaurant Nordrhein Westfalen.
Italian "restaurante" with style, and a large covered summer terrace which is open from April till October. Nice owners and very well dishes. Only a pitty I found a winebottle lid between the mushrooms. Where people work they can make mistakes, but a free coffee or wine (which we did not get) would have been a nice compensation:)

There wasn't a lot of choice for restaurants open on a Sunday night without driving. This one, luckily is very good. We ordered brushetta and pasta mains, and walked out of the restaurant completely stuffed. Mainly due to the free starters and liquor based desert!. All of the food was excellent, and in large portions, and very well priced. A great evening!

We were visiting family in Erkelenz and they suggested this place. Wow are the pizzas big. This is not your typical German or Italian pizza. Somebody here has visited the US, but these were considered personal pizzas and they more than covered the plate. The crust was just right and the toppings were outstanding. Also, if you have children they have a play station for them to try out their pizza crust making skills.Ciao, grazie mille for your great feedback! <3 We´re happy to read, that we convinced you with our concept. And yes, your guess was right! There is a minimum amount of love in every recipe ;-)Kind regards, your L'Osteria Team

We went to this restuarant on the recommendation of the hotel where we are staying on a business trip. It is a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was pretty good and well priced. The service was average - we didn't speak any German and there was no real effort to help us understand the menu. They don't accept card payments, I don't know if this is normal for Duisburg but it is a long time since I have been anywhere whilst travelling which didn't. This is clearly not somewhere that has much business travel as the idea of giving us a receipt rather than just a number written on a bit of paper seemed to annoy the waiter.
