We love Pizza Villa. You order your food at the counter as you come in, then order drinks from your table. The pizza is great, stuffed or flat crust. Salads are good, too. We also like Giordanos, but their crust is like cardboard - Pizza Villa's crust is unmatched. Thanks for your kind words. Hope to see you again soon!

We dropped in for dinner. You'll need some navigation guidance to get here - it is literally stuck between NIU and student housing. Watch for students at night - the streets aren't well lit.We looked over the appetizers, and settled on their bruschetta. It was very good - toasted bread heaping with good stuff. For the main course, we both ended up ordering the same thing - Spinach Ravioli Alfredo with Sausage. The sausage was sliced thin - around 1/8 to 3/16s, and complimented the ravioli. Then again, it would have to - the serving was only 5 pieces of ravioli. Really? If I had known the servings were so small, I would have ordered a salad with it. Then again, they had desserts in the refrigerated case, so I thought "great, we'll just have a little dessert and call it a day. Then the check came out. So, no dessert. The price to serving ratio seems to be a bit high here - 5 pieces of ravioli at 15.95 means $5 and change per piece. The ravioli and alfredo sauce was tasty - don't get me wrong - but $5 per piece with no salad or side - seems a bit steep. The place was cool - thermally. We weren't that close to the door, and still it was cool. The interior seems pretty much bland. It could benefit from some artwork, or updates to the lighting fixtures.

Home of the original XL NY Slice. Since 1956, Sbarro has been serving the XL NY Slice. Starting with made-daily hand stretched dough, San Marzano style sauce and topped with 100% Whole Milk Mozzarella cheese.

We needed a rest stop on a recent road trip. Decided to get a bit of lunch. My husband, who wasn't very hungry, got a small serving of mac n'cheese, which he said was OK. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and mushroom pizza. They warmed it up in a toaster oven (barely). The sauce was awful and the French bread crust tasted nothing like a pizza crust. I ate some of the toppings and a bite or two of crust and pitched the rest. A waste of $12!!!
