We loved this Italian Restaurant and its warm friendly "momma's kitchen" type approach. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. From the start we were made to feel welcome, big smiles and warmth exuded from our host. Having been seated drinks orders were taken and the specials list offered - we suspect the menu was prepared ages ago and the restaurant have evolved a specials list that is almost a menu in itself now. Either way there was great choice - we were worried the menu was too long to do everything well but our fears were groundless, choosing from both the specials menu and the main menu each dish was gorgeous.Definitely worth a visit, and for us we will definitely be back.

Lunch with friends; great food and fantastic value. Obviously very popular with locals, who popped in for take- aways, as well as meals.Basic decor / seating: a great place for a nice lunch but not the place for a fancy meal.Seating rather uncomfortable for anybody with mobility / disabilty issues, but staff very friendly and accomodating.Excellent for veggies; not so good for meat eaters! Highly recommended. Lovely place.

Expect to encounter a multi-sensory experience; visual, textual, taste. Simplistic and natural interiors, complementing the effortless and fresh cuisine that follows the roots of culinary principles in Italy: excellent quality ingredients, honest cooking
Great restaurant, hard to find, well there we were surprised by a lovely Prosecco, three amuse bouches, starters like grouse or ravioli with truffles (generous) followed by mains, venison with hazelnut or guineafowl. Interesting but short winelist. Dessert was a divine nutella accompamied by an icecold expressomartini. All in all was this a great experience and in my humble opinion they deserve one star in The Michelin Guide. When the bill came I was surprised, prepared to pay at least 100£ more than I had to!

We had a lovely meal at Ciboâs with the family. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming so you donât feel like youâre being too noisy with a young family. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious. Would recommend the lasagna and pizza that we had. The kids meals were perfect and everyone elseâs meals looked delicious as well. We will definitely go back.

Isola is specialize in regional Sardinian and Mediterranean cuisine.
We randomly chose this restaurant after walking by it from our B&B into town and what a delightful experience! Service was excellent, prices were reasonable and our meals were excellent. Nice atmosphere inside as well. I especially enjoyed the pear and ricotta ravioli. Highly recommended.

Perfectly located on Musselburgh High Street, Dal Patino is the perfect authentic Italian dining experience day or night in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Weâve been here a few times and always enjoyed the job, ambience and the fact that it is a pleasant, small family run Italian.I had a few issues with my last visit with my main, a Cod dish being rather poor, under seasoned and not the freshest but put this down to a hiccup. My wife and I went down last Friday and I was disappointed by my flavourless, under seasoned aubergine and mozzarella starter. We never usually order pizza hear but fancied a change and quickly regret that decision. We ordered a burrata and Nduja flavoured pizza each but when it came out it was lukewarm, bordering on cold. Come on this is 2019 hot plates, hot food, happy customer! The pizza was very bare and also extremely salty (and I like salt!). After eating less then a half we gave up and I told the waiter that the pizza was cold and salty, his reply was to shrug his shoulders and say âNduja is saltyâ. Both he and the chef/owner seemed entirely unfazed by the fact that they had just served inedible food to their customers. Only a poor quality Nduja is salty as extra salt is adding during the curing process to speed it up and increase yield, perhaps moving to a better product (and please taste first) and just increase your price a little to account for this. No brainier! We paid our bill and promptly left never to return which is a shame. As we left I watched another 4 plates leave the kitchen and go to a table without a hint of steam rising from the top, enjoy!

I, Joe Crolla, together with our father and son team, Giuseppe and Adriano Amato who are the manager and chef are proud to have chosen Musselburgh as the home of our first restaurant together. My Family originate from a village south of Rome just outside
Turned up on a Wednesday evening and although the restaurant was almost empty the waitress said "Have you booked?" in an unwelcoming way. Ordered pizza and pasta which we thought you can't go wrong with, WRONG! If I were a chef, I would be ashamed of the pasta served up. Luckily, my wife and I ordered a pizza to go with the past as it was just about edible although it was far too salty and left an aftertaste in our mouths. There was a wedding taking place in a venue next door and engaging with the mature waitress I said "it is unusual to see a wedding taking place this evening?" She replied in a sarcastic tone, "It is a Wedding Venue!" It was obviously a wedding venue, I was just making conversation and mean't it was strange to see a wedding on a Wednesday evening? However, the food and customer service has drastically gone down since I was last visiting the place. On this visit experience, I will not be returning, as I can receive better service and food at a local MacDonalds. Judging by the amount of customers, I'm guessing I'm not the only person dissatisfied with the quality of the food and service. Hello mr andy please may i ask which Wednesday did you come to visit us so that i can check who was on shift and speak to my members of staff i'm so sorry that you where not happy and we try to give a nice friendly service to all our costumers thank you very much i will be waiting for your response

A family run Italian restaurant that works hard to give the locals the very best in Italian cuisine. With a proven record of quality, we show off many of our accolades as soon as you walk through the front door. It doesn't end there. With great food comes
Visited with friends last Saturday for lunch. Not too busy and we were seated quickly. Good menus with option for set lunch or alacarte. The specials were completley different from the menus which were nice to see. We all went for pasta dishes and nothing was left. Good flavours and definately the best Italian in Midlothian. Service brilliant and a nice bottle of wine to finish it off. I believe they are now building a bar area which will be a nice addition next year.
