We went here back in December after Christmas, but had never been here before. We probably will not go back either. Food was cold and not good. Sort of a cross between Cicis and Little Caesars, but more expensive than either

The roots of the Grisanti culinary tradition date to 1505 in Valdottavo, an Italian village near Lucca. My great-grandfather, Rinaldo Grisanti, emigrated from northern Italy in 1909 in pursuit of the American Dream. Arriving at Ellis Island with little mo
The menu for food and wine was extensive, offering what would seem something for everyone. We were a group of six and were seated at a booth which was very nice though the booth by us was VERY loud so it was difficult to hear when we were first seated. Two salads were ordered and both the Caesar and the wedge were very fresh and flavorful. The beef and filets were cooked as requested and quite tender. The Gorgonzola fillet didn't seem to have much cheese. The tortellini was very good but not as plentiful as hoped. The saltimbocca was spot on. The service was pleasant but could have been more attentive during the meal for refills of drinks and bread.

I am going to give this place mixed reviews.... let me first start by saying both of our pasta dishes # 102 and # 109 were EXCELLENT... awesome taste and truly tasted authentic... now.. as to the salad # 1 Side Salad... in my opinion and I stress my opinion it was not all that.. it certainly could have used more Italian vinaigrette dressing (which I am sure they would have provided if asked)... it was just not the type of salad I expected and again it was not bad.. just ... well.. not what I expected... I was a bit amazed at the fact you had to order a salad to get any bread with the meal ... and a small 1/2 of a loaf (small) at that... I would have liked to have had a small bread basket so I could have dipped in EVOO or spread butter onto. the cost was tolerable but again the taste of the pasta was awesome... I would probably go back for more pasta. I was kinda surprised that when we paid for our meal (before eating) the computer asked us if we wanted to leave a tip... other than take our order at the register (which is typical of a lot of counter service) and picking the plate up out of the window and walking four steps.. everything was self serve.. I felt obligated to tip but think for 95% self serve it was .. well never mind on that...

Try to eat there at least once a month. You can go to any of the expensive fine dinning places in Memphis, but you can't beat the price or the quality of Villla's
