This restaurant came recommended by the owners of the accommodation we were staying in. We booked a table and were pleased to learn that the chef/owner spoke English. On arrival our party was made to feel very welcome and the chef came out to speak to us and to suggest a starter course of antipasti to share. We readily agreed and then also ordered our mains etc. The antipasti was the best I have ever enjoyed in Italy or elsewhere. There was so much to choose from that we all felt we need not have ordered anything else. The pasta course was also delicious and the desserts too. The next day the chef sent a message hoping that we had enjoyed our meal which I thought was a very nice touch. A lovely experience and a lovely meal-thank you.

Amazing food. Their own wine is excellent. Try the wild boar ragout. Will definitely want to come here. Just brilliant. Service was great. Outlook nice in the outdoor seating area but also plenty inside if it's a little cooler. Mostly Italians eating here a local hidden secret.

Tuscan cuisine
We happened across this restaurant while driving through Tuscany and absolutely loved it! We keep talking about how it was one of the best dining experiences we had in Italy, so I am surprised to see low reviews for it. It is a roadside country stop, so do not expect anything fancy, just good food. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun. My husband had the mixed grill, which he said was some of the best meat he has had in his life, and I had a pasta dish which was homemade and delicious.

I Tre Rioni is a restaurant with rooms in the picturesque village of Campiglia D'Orcia. The tables are set with heavy damask and wooden platters bearing the restaurant name; the walls have a decorative 'country' feel , all contributing to a nice atmosphere. We were greeted with complementary toast and lardon, then enjoyed a tasting platter including a variety of delicious meats, cheese, vegetables and toasts. The star dishes of our primi were pasta with garlic and tomato, and spinach and ricotta pasta with cinnamon sauce. For secondi we enjoyed a mediaeval recipe of turkey with chestnuts, seafood pasta and pork chops with side dishes of porcini mushroom, oven baked vegetables and potatoes, spinach and steamed vegetables. For dessert we had lemon sorbet. It was actually very hard to decide what to choose, as there were so many tempting dishes on the menu. The restaurant has deservedly won several awards - long may it continue to do so!

This restaurant, bar, and shop has just opened on June 5, 2012, in one of the historic houses of La Foce, the Origo family estate in Val d'Orcia Tuscany. Dining inside and under the pergolas, with wonderful views over the countryside.
This restaurant was able to accommodate 18 people on a half hour notice. Even though they donât have a set menu they quickly created one that included 3 anti pasta, 2 types of pasta and meat. The menu is limited but the great food makes up for it.

We had a lovely meal here after an evening in the hot springs - there is a real homely atmosphere in the restaurant, which appears popular with locals and tourists alike. We were there mid week in winter and at 9pm local families poured in. The food was delicious and the restaurant beautifully decorated and maintained. They even lit a fire for us!
Complimenti Grazie e a Presto

Had pizza from here but the crust was slightly burnt. Other wise good thin crust pizza. Took a bit of time but most good food does.

My friend and I were headed to Bagni S. Filippo today and passed Contignano on the way. We stopped on a whim at the Ristorante La Fattoria. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We were seated out back under an umbrella. We ordered chicken scallopini with the mixed salad. The chicken was fresh and very tasty, not like typical American chicken. The salad dressing was wonderful and the BREAD was the BEST we have had in Italy by far. Wow was it good. The dessert was a concoction suggested by the waitress with peaches, ice cream, chocolate and a cookie on top. Yum. The whole meal with wine and coffee was 17 euros, a very good value. This is a great place for lunch and don't forget to take your bathing suit and check out the spa at Bagni S. Filippo afterwards.Grazie mille signore, sono molto contenta che siete state bene, spero di vedervi ancora nel mio ristorante , anche avervi ospiti nell' albergo. Ciao Enza

The Fonte alla Vena Inn is a warm and welcoming restaurant in an ancient building of historical importance which has recently been renovated. It is on the Cassia Road, close to the village of San Quirico d'Orcia close to Montalcino , Motepulciano and only
Pleasant service, lovely atmosphere. Delicious cheese breadsticks. Unusual menu, loved the duck tagliatelle with orange. Anchovyâs were good for those who enjoy them, beautifully presented. Nice wines available by the class. Excellent Banfi white. Unfortunately the ribs while unusual with honey were devoid of hardly any meat. Very disappointing. The desserts were average.
