Large cafeteria style room with brick walls and a counter on one side. We were seated promptly. Our orders were the Fried Calamari appetizer to share, Lasagna and Chicken Piccata with a glass of Chianti each. While all the portions were good, flavor was lacking. The Calamari was thick, tough, chewy and tasteless. I requested a little extra sauce on the Chicken and it came swimming in a soup bowl. The Lasagna looked like a giant plop of sauce. We were disappointed that no bread, vegetable or salad came with the meal. Service was good. So even though we had a Groupon for $30 - it covered less than half the bill. Without the Groupon, I don't feel it was worth the price.Karen, Iâm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience at Russo's New York Pizzeria. I assure you this isnât a typical situation. Our neighbors introduced us to Luigi's. We have been back several times. The food is excellent - Italian with a Cajun flare. Everything we have tried has been awesome. The owner is from Louisiana thus the cajun flare on this Italian food. If you want good Italian, go here. You will not be disappointed.

Service was more than adequate, especially compared to some of the prior reviews.Dinner was inconsistent.Escargot appetizer was good, albeit different, as the shells were missing( my wife's favorite part!)The salad was pedestrian but featured a nicely flavored , light dressing.We both ordered the daily specials & 1 of 2 were good.My wife's filet had a large chunk of grizzle , something one finds in a ribeye , not a filet.My veal & shrimp dish was very nice, in a light cream sauce.Didn't have time for desert as we had a show to catch @ The Crighton!!

This restaurant has really good pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni is of a very high quality. The pie isn't up to say a Chicago or New York level but for the area is is one of the better places. The restaurant itself is clean with a very nice modern decor. Relaxing jazz is played for ambience. The prices are very reasonable. I had a medium pepperoni pizza and drink and it was around 12.00. I will return and try the calzone and give that a review. This place is definitely worth a visit and is very family friendly.

This restaurant though part of a huge chain always serves good food with pleasant staff. The menu is nationwide,but now features gluten free items which is increasingly important for a rapidly growing portion of the population.Service is always courteous and prompt. This is a popular area restaurant and at times there can be a wait, though usually not more than a few minutes.Love their soups, refillable salad bowl, and hot breadsticks, withor without garlic.Excellent value!

I ordered the sampler - all of the pasta was mushy and over cooked. My hubby ordered the shrimp parmigiana, he said the shrimp was chewy (also overlooked). We are not from Texas, stayed on Lake Conroe for a week, and tried this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. If you want great Italian food, my recommendation is The Pizza Shack (I know the name - right?) in Willis. We ate there twice during our 1 week stay.
