We stayed at the nearby Courtyard. Good thing my wife saw that the restaurant does not serve alcohol.Food was good. The Caeser salad was typical and not overly dressed or flavorful. The steak was cooked perfectly.Service was attentive but we were the last ones in the restaurant. The staff made it obvious they were waiting for us to finish so they could clean up and close.
As local High Bridgians, who believe in "keeping our $ in High Bridge", we walked down to Carini's for dinner! What a pleasant surprise! Our meal was delish, reasonably priced and freshly prepared. We we always big "Michael"s" fans, but pizza, is back in High Bridge! ( BYOB, too!)
Ordered a margherita pizza with eggplant and a Brooklyn pizza with one half margherita and the other side mushrooms, cooked onions, mushrooms, black olives and sausage. Both pizzas were soggy, mushy and virtually inedible. I called and complained and was refunded the cost of the margherita pizza but they refused any refund on the Brooklyn pie because the toppings are responsible for it being soggy. Both sides of the pizza were horrible and left an aftertaste. If you order a pizza make sure to ask for well done. Better yet, Drive 12 minutes in the opposite direction to the new Chimney Rock Inn.Also ordered pasta puttanesca. Penne were soft. Have to stress al dente.Very disappointing. Some of the worst pizza we have ever eaten.
Rita's is a chain, but an extremely delicious one nonetheless. The Italian ice flavors are usually changing frequently enough to be interesting, but also consistent enough so you know some of the really popular flavors will always be there (mango, cherry, etc.). And their frozen custard is just absurdly creamy and delicious. Truly addictive. You can get just an Italian ice, just a custard, or decide to mix them together, or even layer them.Highly recommended!
The owner and chef (June) is extremely personable, and usually comes to each table sometime during dinner to see if everything is OK (and it usually is) We've been there three times, and the food is excellent. Best to make reservations, as it is a small room, and fills quickly. Also, one Saturday per month, they offer a reservation only (call to see exactly which Saturday it is, as it moves around each month) Fixed Price Five Course meal, at $85 per person. Haven't been to one yet, but definitely want to. The portions are huge, and IMHO it's the best Italian in Hunterdon County. Besides the standard menu, there is always a special menu that is different each week.
New brick oven pizzeria located in downtown Clinton. Location is small, and menu is limited. Pizza is cooked in brick oven. Mozzarella was fresh and not too salty; sauce was not too sweet; crust was average, not your typical crust made with 00 flour as you find in a authentic napoletano pizzeria. I also ordered their meatballs. Meatballs (3 per order) were expensive, $13 or $15, and they were average at best. Service was adequate, owners were very friendly. Pizza is worth a try, but pass on the meatballs.

Right in the heart of Clinton. They have been here forever, have a whole seating area and is by 3 other eating establishments. One is new, two others are coming in the next few months. This place has a huge variety of choices, bottled soda and a restroom.

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered a "small" salad with the chicken, mozz, peppers and portabella's. It was HUGE and delicious! My cohort ordered the cheesesteak, fried and mozz sticks. All were very good. The portions are VERY generous. They were somewhat busy but no rush or pressure. Will be back!

There's is nothing else to say other than the three of us had probably one of the best slices of pizza we ever had. All of us had different slices and we all agreed they were fanastic. Services were friendly and prompt.

We had a party celebrating a family birthday. We started with several appetizers: meatballs and eggplant plates. I enjoyed the lamb special entree with risotto. This was followed by a chocolate soufflé that several helped me eat. Jude was our server, did a fantastic job.
