Splendida serata .

Service and atmosphere were absolutely great, so was the food. They've got a great space outside as well but unfortunately the weather wasn't the best.

A treasure of a seafood restaurant in citta s. angelo. This review is seriously long overdue since we have been eating on a very regular basis at Margazzill for several years now. The very fact that we continue to enjoy eating here is a testamony to the fact that the quality of this restaurant is very high since we are very finicky eaters. Recently, the owner Claudio has built a brand new restaurant where the very comfortable ambience is a very tasteful understated elegance. It is stylish yet you feel at home here. Claudio has always had a flair for immaginative plates of the freshest fish which are not only deliscious but an absolute work of art on a plate. His antipasto comes in a huge selection of raw, cold and hot and they are all garnished with various fruits, flowers, nuts and sauces. Truly too good for words. Our particular favorites are the calamari served with crushed almonds and the little fish bites served with carmalized onions. The pastas and risotto dishes are all fantastic as are the selections of seconds. His wine selection is also quite exceptional. The service is attentive and you are left with the impression that they really do care about your dinning experience. If you like great tasting fish served with a touch of refinement and style then Margazzil will not disappoint you.

Osteria Moderna Ed Informale, Cucina Tipica Abruzzese Con Prodotti Freschi Stagionali Del Territorio
You visit this Osteria especially for two things: their "filetto" is the best piece of meat I've ever had. Served simply with ruccola and with a sprinkle of the very special, delicious and unique olive oil "Fiorano 241" produced with high quality as I understood (and tasted), in the village of Loreto Aprutino. Secondly, make sure you arrive before sunset giving you the opportunity to witness a spectacular sunset facing the mountains and the hills of Abruzzo. Outdoor terraces is not easy to find in Abruzzo! Located in the historic center of Città Sant Angelo.

We donât eat out much during our two-week holidays, preferring instead to make meals at home from produce bought at markets and delis; however, we wanted to go someplace special on our last night in Abruzzo and chose this restaurant which was local to where we were staying. We were mostly pleased with our somewhat variable meal. We had been in the town several times during our stay and three outdoor tables were always booked, so reservations are recommended; however, the night we went, a Friday in August, the fairly large space inside was almost empty, despite people being turned away at the door who were inquiring about the outdoor tables. Our reservation was made for 7.00, but this is too early for most Italians and we were asked to âtake a walk and come back in half an hourâ, which was fine. As soon as we sat down, we were given baskets full of house-made bread, the best of which was slices from a walnut studded loaf, drizzled with olive oil. We were hesitant to order to pasta dishes and two main courses, but we were assured that the portions werenât too large to handle, and they werenât. The pasta was certainly the most disappointing we had during our trip: mundane ravioli with pistachio sauce and a very bland and under-seasoned dish with normal supermarket-style white mushrooms and a handful of stale walnuts thrown in. Things perked up with the main courses, which is not always the case in restaurants. We finally got to try some arrosticini, which were grilled and served with more olive oil-soaked bread and, best of all, pork loin medallions with pecorino cheese sauce and grated summer truffle. Equally delicious was the side dish of emerald green chicory with plump sultanas and (most likely) saffron in the sauce. We tried the unremarkable tiramisu â lots of cream, not much if any mascarpone, and a few biscotti at the bottom of the dish. The absolutely thrilling high point of the meal for us was the bottle of wine we ordered, an Umbrian red Sagrantino di Montefalco. I got the feeling that this was an unusual choice from the fairly extensive menu, as the waitress and proprietor had to root around in the wind cabinet to find the dusty bottle, which turned out to be eighteen years old. Weâre not great wine connoisseurs, but every so often a wine comes along that makes us sit up and say, âWow. This is it.â That was the case with our bottle that evening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and the stand-out main courses, bread, and wine, made the experience worthwhile.

I was there last week with some friends. We had a really rich Antipasto, came out around 7 different dishes of Abruzzese tradition plus a board of salumi. Then we had some arrosticini end we drunk a beautiful bottle of wine from a local vineyard "Sciarr'"Positive experience

If you want authentic abruzzesi fare you can't go wrong with this little gem! The antipasti are delicious and the assorted roast meats platter was tasty. The arrosticini are also very good for a restaurant so close to the seascape towns. The service was great and the price as well. The house white was delicious as well as the panna cotta for dessert; you won't be disappointed in this family friendly restaurant!
