We came across this reataurant on the outskirts of Chatiløon by pure chance, and enjoyed an exellent meal from the complimentary filled succhini flowers through primi and secondi exquisitely prepared with local ingredients, to the equally complementary small sweets which accomoanied the coffee. We were recommended regional wines which matched the food very well. The price was very reasonable for a meal of this quality. Quick and friendly service. Higly recommended!

The "Locanda Dalai Lama" has been awarded with the seal of quality "Saveurs du Val d'Aoste" and proposes a refined cuisine in an intimate setting with a splendid view over the valley. The Inn of the Dalai Lama is a typical mountain restaurant, with a touc

A unique place that lays its foundations in the Roman era Archeological digs in Saint-Vincent have brought to light a big Roman thermal bath, situated under the Church. Since the building is located near a Roman road, it is assumed that it was a âMansioâ.
We spent there two nice evenings with delicious food and good wine in a friendly atmosphere. For us the best restaurant in Saint Vincent. Greetings for sommelier :)

Visited at lunchtime, we were the only customers. Should have taken it as a bad sign. The food came quickly but we wish it hadn't. The vegetable risotto was a brown mess on the plate, we ate a little and left quickly.

From the moment you get the the excellent breads and the 'amuse bouche', which is in fact a whole dish filled with delicacies prepared with a variety of techniques, ranging from tempura to a spherification of tomato, you realise you're in for a good experience. The menu reads very well and you want to try everything, but we were in for a light dinner and we limited ourselves to first/starter and main. Cappelletti pasta with ossobuco had a very good filling and sauce (pasta slightly brittle). Moelleux of asparagus was a refined and flavoursome starter. The mains were great: I've eaten many ducks, but this breast was one of the deepest tasting and best cooked I've tried this year. The accompanying meatball would also have been perfect except for a bit of overcooking which reduced moistness. The artichokes going with it however were ideal. And a lamb featured again good and nicely cooked produce, but what elevated this dish were the garnishes, including dates, dried roses and a chickpea puree (described as hummous though I don't think there was any tahini). We skipped desserts, but with our tea excellent petit fours were offered which promise well for the patisserie section... Beside the quality of the produce and the technique, there's a pleasant sense of generosity in this restaurant. The room is warm and impressive and tastefully decorated, in a former granary. Service is competent and polite. Food prices represent quite good value for money considering the quality (and even the quantity, which is higher than average for restaurants of this quality). A place to return to at the next opportunity.

We got several recommendations about this restaurant, we tried one evening but they were fully booked what raised our expectations. We ate several dishes of beef in various sauces, all came medium-rare mine was covered by arogola leaves and Parmesan, it was ok but not more, my dearest had the blue cheese sauce but the meat was too under done for her so she returned it to the kitchen, our friend had the red wine sauce and his dearest had the capresa salad and the polenta everything was ok but maybe the expectation was too high because i5 was not more than ok....

On the main street in Saint Vincent, an easy reach wherever you stay in this small town. Excellent service from when we stepped in, got a nice table. The restaurant is cozy, in a perhaps semi-modern way. We sat down, enjoyed it, and dtarted selecting our dinners. For my starter I went gor a selection of local cheeses, with honey, syrup and two chutneys. Very good. Main: Grilled Wild Boar, excellent! Served with marinated cabbage, which is a brilliant companion to the perfect boar. Wine: a local Fumin, which seems to be the typical Aosta Valley grape. Strong in taste, balanced, not too high tannins, very drinkable and an excellent companion to cheese, as well as wild meat. I was very happy with the meal, the service and actually everything, and based on our experiency I dare recommend Le Petit Bijou as a very good dinner alternative in Saint Vincent.

We were completely ignored when we enteted ans greeted staff with 'good evening'. They were avoiding any kind of interaction since they couldn't speak any English. When I slowly tried to make an order, waitress quickly argued, shouted and waived me off arrogantly not even trying to make an effort to understand few simple words. We had to spend couple of minutes with dictionary decoding Italian menu. Food wa OK-ish (rather tasteless), service was supremely slow. We have ordered desserts and cappuccino but left before the coffee was served, bored as hell. Or maybe more frustrated than bored, as always pissed off and utterly grumpy waitress was kind of entertaining (but should be made redundant asap). Rather avoid, there are many better options to go for in the neighbourhood.

The dining room is spacious and bright with large windows directly overlooking the lake. The pine panelling, the antique wooden beam ceiling and the finest decoration make the atmosphere warm and cosy. The restaurant is open to external guests and is famous
This wooden alpine atmosphere restaurant offers great meals at a reasonable price. The view is great overlooking a lake. Having taken for primi the taglioni with ragu di capriolo and for secondi the Carbonade, I can assure you this was worth to drive up there from St Vincent where we stayed (although this may be a scary drive night time for those not used to mountainous roads).
