If you love a very good, slow paced fine dining experience with no distractions other than the conversation, exsquisite (SIC) views of the mountains/water at sunset, fantastic service and food to die for, then this is for you. When you arrive you are greeted and walked down several flights until you get to the restaurant. There menu is incredibly diverse and has multiple tasting menus with different levels of wine pairing (we went for the high end wine pairing and it was amazing)The staff is very attentive with 2-3 people keeping an eye on you at all times and the timing of the menu service was excellent. As the restaurant is located on the very busy Amalfi Coast Highway, an added bonus is the free parking out front. We were there on a Tuesday night so the traffic on the coastal route was very light. This is a one star Michelin on its way to two very soon. Highly recommend this jewel.

Nice little restaurant with good home fair. Unfortunately they donât serve pizza at lunch time which is a real shame as it was one of the reasons we opted for this restaurant. However we had a nice table outside and the waitress was very friendly and ran through some tasty alternatives. We shared a mixed salad to start and the warm bread was delicious. A pasta with tuna went down well as did the spaghetti pesto. Keep room for pudding as the chocolate cake and lemon pudding are delicious. A bottle of local white wine, water and a couple of espressos brought the bill to about 60 euros.

The best place in Cetara and probably the Costiera! After we found this place for dinner we came back for another lunch and dinner (and unfortunately we had to leave Cetara after). It is full of home made goodness matched with the best of cooking skills. We had all their frittura (fried dishes) -- mixed seafood, alici (anchovies), novellame (baby anchovies), the fried alici that are then marinated... they are all fried to perfection, warm, dry and crispy and my husband who has a sensitive gastric said that his stomach didn't hurt a single bit after. Their pastas took a while to cook (with fair warning from the waiters) because they are all prepared on the spot only after you order them and all of them deserve accolades -- we even had second servings of pasta sometimes. Top quality pasta from Gragnano is used. The ones we tried were: con colatura, il conventuale (with anchovies slow cooked until they melt and topped with pecorino cheese, walnuts and parsley), and con ragù di mare (seafood stew). We also enjoyed the wine Pecorino and for dessert babà and grappa. The chef, who is 75 years old, shared that he goes out to the sea every morning at 4am to catch his own fish (esp alici) and prepare his own colatura di alici (anchovies "water" which is a specialty of his hometown) which he brews for 1.5 years. His daughter is the main server and she's funny and kind, we truly enjoyed our time there! With much love to the artist/chef Michele & his daughter Antonella, Anastasia & Paolo Note: do not feed 10-yr-old Lisa the beautiful brown cat that passes by, she has an owner!Thank's! - Grazie per il Suo contributo.

Cetara is a lovely little town. Especially at night - when most tourists left - it comes alive with all the locals. We were here for four nights in summer and never left town for dinner. There are many great options. One was this place a bit away from the waterfront. It's a smaller place but does have a bunch of outside tables. Our dog was welcome as well. We ordered a bottle of white wine (Kratos), fried anchovies and pasta w/ tuna and tomatoes. What we can say about this place (and that goes to Cetara in general as well): it's real good, real fresh seafood!Anchovies - a specialty in Cetara - were hot, crispy and fresh. The pasta meal doesn't look different, but had great flavors. Fresh and tasty tuna, juicy and fruity tomatoes and perfectly cooked pasta. The wine was a bit pricey (16 Euro for 0.5 litres), but boy, what a great wine that was. It's name is "Kratos" and is among the best white we've ever had...and trust me, travelling the world we had our fair share of wines. If you like flavorful, fruity (exotic, peachy) white wine, but at the same time not overly sweet, then this is for you!So far this place deserves five stars. If it wouldn't be for the staff. The host/owner was fine. Friendly guy. But the staff just didn't seem to care about the customers much. No smile or any nice words. I don't need to be cared overly much...but this didn't even reach a basic standard. Too bad. But still a place I would go back. Food is great, prices were fine as well.Wanna know more about me and my trips? Check my profile.

We had a great dinner at the restaurant. We stayed at the hotel and managed to get a table for the same night (calling 30min in advance) even though the place was almost full. The service, food and recommended wines were amazing! Especially the octopus was absolutely perfect!

Wow, I'm so glad I came back to Cetara a second time to try this place, it's very small but big on service and delicious food. The baccala and then dessert were perfection. Very popular with people needing to queue for a free table.

We dropped in here for a drink as the restaurant we were going to didnât open until 8.30. What a stroke of luck! We ordered two glasses of wine (very reasonably priced) and quite unexpectedly three little dishes arrived to accompany them - a bowl of tuna and salad, anchovy bruschetta and spaghetti colatura. Times two! The young staff were absolutely delightful. Needless to say, we didnât venture any further as we had no need for a meal. Thoroughly recommend this little place. You wonât be disappointed.

After reading a lot of reviews on here we were excited to try Tonyâs. However we were very underwhelmed by the food and service. All the Italian speaking tables were greeted warmly and served drinks and bread. We were served drinks but given oil...We ordered 4 starters, Two turned up on one dish and were very small for the price, the rest ample size. However until the last starter (at least 5 minutes after the others) arrived no plates were given so we were juggling the food to eat whilst hot. If the place had been busy I could almost understand but the waiting staff were standing next to our table! The fried mozzarella was so burnt it was inedible. We left it but no one asked if ok. The starters were cleared before my youngest had had chance to eat his. I had to take the plate back! The mains were nice. The drinks good. The service ok but totally missing anything which would make it special. Such a shame.
