Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Central. Central is a town in Pickens County, South Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,159, roughly 3,000 of which were considered permanent residents. Contrary to its name, it is not near the center of South Carolina. We went here for dinner as it has been opened for about 5 weeks. My daughter ordered the penne Alfredo and I ordered the brick over Quattro formaggio. The Alfredo was very thin and not cheesy. It had an almost sweet taste which was odd. My pizza was ok but over an inch of the crust didnât have toppings in it and I could definitely see two cheeses but not four. It was ok but nothing to come running back for. I make better homemade Alfredo at home.

Just a quick stop for a drink before Clemson night football game. As you might expect it was PACKED............Bartenders were hurrying around and somehow got to serve everyone. I'm no student anymore but if I was man would I love this place. Kids having a great time in the open air bar patio with music going. What a vibe Can't tell you anything about the food but if you are in Clemson go for a pregame beer or drink and enjoy

..is like herding rabid cats. Ok, that was yucky. I've eaten lots of pizza. Pizza Hut was my go-to in Clemson until Halloween night when it was delivered 2.5 hours after ordered and just plain nasty. Pepino's was a favorite that closed and Columbo's is an old favorite. Had the stuffed Chicago style meat lovers this week and it was filling and delicious. I'd have liked a few more veggies on it but all in all a good pizza. Now we are not talking "haute couture pizza" here but regular good college town pizza. There are about 3 places I haven't tried but this pizza will hold itself up against anything in town. We ordered a medium takeout and 3 of us were stuffed.
First time visit.Started with the bread sticks. Hot and super delicious! House made crushed tomato sauce for dipping. OMG, I could have died HAPPY with the flavor of the bread sticks and tomato sauce.Hawaiian pizza was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned.DEFINITELY will be going back!!!!!

Average isn't bad and doesn't mean you shouldn't go. If you love pizza and don't mind overpaying a bit or are a fan of Mellow Mushroom, then you should go.We had a group of 4 and were seated right away. Service was good. They do have a variety of non-pizza choices which is good as I'm not a big pizza fan. However, they did not have fresh avocado on hand which was a big part the sandwich I chose. I like this space way better than the old house on on Greenville Hwy so from that standpoint, it's a big improvement. Thanks for taking the time to provide us with feed back. We hope you will dine with us again and try some of our awesome options that are not pizza. Stay mellow :)

The pizzas were pretty good, but the wait time was ridiculous. Some had the salads and said they were just ok, a little expensive. We all loved the decor and the Garlic Rolls!!
The server was very pleasant and helpful with suggestions. Depending on what you ordered the food was good or just okay. The Italian dishes had too much cheese on them.
Visited here for a first time recently for lunch after reading about it in the local newspaper. It is everything said, freshly prepared food, Italian, Greek, or American styles, plenty of parking, and we experienced quick service and refills of our drinks (without asking which indicates the level of service). I had the Greek Platter with lamb and chicken while my wife had the Greek chicken platter. Needless to say, they were both excellent. We will go often now that we discovered this close by and we will check out the Italian dishes too.

We spent an evening (not intentionally) at Villa Toscana. Very, very slow service and a waiter who didn't have a clue as to what he was doing. We almost felt like we had to direct him and let him know what we needed (how many times do you have to point out that you need water??). In all fairness, our waiter was incredibly nice and was probably just new. I would much rather have a nice waiter who is slow than have a rude waiter who knows what he is doing. The food was very good. We wanted to try the trout but they were out (the owner told us 100 times that they do not have a freezer - everything is fresh). My husband had Momma Rosa's sauce and pasta - he raved about it. I had the Chicken Parm and it was wonderful - but way too much food. We had the BOMB meatballs as an appetizer (incredible) as well as shrimp & grits (hubby said they were great). My only complaint about the food would have to be the chopped salad. If you are looking for a NY Steakhouse style of chopped salad, this is not it. It more of a Caesaresqe style salad with a vinaigrette. It was a nice salad but not what I was expecting. Overall, this was an enjoyable dinner (but about an hour too long) and we will certainly go back to try other items on the menu.Hi Tracy, thank you for your kind comments and especially noticing our new waiter. We were asked by one of our frequent customers to provide and position for his grandson who is attending Clemson. We did and he has turned out to be very special. We apologize that he was new so please come in and enjoy a glass of wine each on us. Thank you again for your input and Happy Holidays to you and your family.
