This place surprised us with a type of modern version of the Italian food. The portions a smaller than in traditional places, but food is excellent. Wine selection is very good. The staff is very helpful and attentive. I am highly recommending this place.

Lovely place overlooking the old little Marino of Castiglioncello. Very romantic ambience. Very good and various menu but what counts more is the quality of the food and the generous helpings. Service is excellent. Prices are moderate. Only one obstacle: book in time because it's always fully booked.

We visited this wonderful restaurant in August 2014. Its was family dinner and everyone from big to small was satisfied. Its a classy place with tasty and inventive cuisine, beautifully decorated and served dishes. In comparison with standard tourist places around its the absolute win. Charming owner Susanne helped us out with the choice and cared about us, like about every table very attentively all evening long. This place is highly recommended to visit once you are around. But please be sure you reserve a table, it was full.

One of our party found this superb restaurant and liked it because it is on the sea. She didn't realiise quite what an amazing find this is. It is lovely. The menu was translated for us by the man we assumed was the owner and he made every dish sound irresistible. We all ate three courses though none of us does usually. It is a fish restaurant-two of us had tuna, another had John Dory(she chose the fish and it was cooked very quickly and beautifully) and another had king prawns. I I can't remember exactly what we each had for our first course though mine was perfectly cooked pasta with mixed fish. The desserts were mouth watering. We drank a good Sauvignon Blanc from the Veneto. Most of the other diners had their children with them-as young as 3-who behaved very well only getting a second wind and becoming a bit noisier towards the end of the evening, around 10pm. They ate their food, no sign of any electronic devices! Service was very good, we were given something sparkling to drink as an aperitif and limoncello was offered at the end. It's not cheap-approx. 60 Euros each-but that was for three courses, wine and water. And servedbeautifully..

Had a lovely meal here early Sept on a trip to Castiglioncello. Lovely fresh food, delicious and great service. No menu or prices but the waiter had very good English and he told us about all the different dishes and prices, would definitely eat here again. Very friendly service, and no cover charge!

We came here hoping for a kind of fish and chips experience and because the reviews were very good. There is certainly something very authentic about this place but you should be warned that the emphasis here is more on seafood than standard fish. They only had a small quantity of one kind of fried fish. This was good though but I got the impression that this might easiy have run out if we had come later. If you eat in then you have a choice between the noisy street with menacing and hungry mosquitos or the inside seating area. This can get a bit warm on a summer evening and if you have the pleasure to be sharing this with a couple of Italian families the bathroom-like acoustic combined with the Italians and their vowell-rich language and lively temperament will ensure that any normal conversation will be impossible. The moral here is go with an open mind and a good appetitite for seafood, sit back and enjoy the autentic atmosphere. And also the fact that there is no coperto. Oh, and it won't break that bank either.

Popular place amongst tourist and the menu is clearly tailored to this audience with some interesting non-Italian influences. If you are looking for an authentic culinary experience and typical Italian atmosphere you are probably better off elsewhere however the food and service is ok and prices are low so for a quick bite to eat this place is fine.
