Salvo greeted us and showed us to the antipasti buffet for our first meal there, lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed the many vegetarian specialties as well as cheeses, and that was served with dessert for only 13 euros. Salvo was friendly and helpful. We came back the next night and were served a delicious non-alcoholic fresh fruit drink along with the offering of a plate of sun dried tomatoes, olives, cheese and bread as we sat outside on the little terrace before being shown to "our" table right over the beach and beautiful water, with a view of the Acropolis of Selinunte. When Salvatore told us the evening's specials, we were not familiar with "sgombro, so he showed us a picture. We ordered it and the whole fish was grilled and brought to the table for us to filet- an easy task! It was delicious! We were served cherries for dessert and wound up talking to Oliver (I think that was his name), the owner, who insisted on offering us cannoli when we refused his offer of amaro. It was a quiet evening and a very reasonably priced meal.

Myself and three family members were taking a driving tour around the western third of Sicily. Castelvetrano is the birthplace of my paternal grandfather. This was our first time in the town. We were looking for a store that sold the olive oil of the region. We needed directions so we approached police officers. During the conversation we asked them if they could recommend a place to eat. They kindly led us to Ristorante Camelot. We had a fabulous meal in a beautiful dining room. They brought out generous amounts of appetizers before the entrees. The main dishes were excellent. The restaurant is a little bit out of town on an agriturismo. We were thrilled at our good luck to have been led to such a good restaurant. The staff was so engaging as we told them this was our first visit to the home of our grandfather. We enjoyed visiting with them very much. A memorable experience.

Recommended by our B&B owners (who ate there that evening), we had a simply delightful meal at Agriturismo Carbona. The menu has many meat and fish options, but for vegetarians like us, there were fewer options. Not a problem, though -- our gracious server suggested a terrific cheese platter and bruchette for antipasti, , followed by two good pasta selections. She suggested a bottle of red wine which went well with the meal. Try the limoncello, made at the farm. It was the best we had in Italy. The freshly pressed olive oil, again made on the farm, was delicious and quite fruity. The dining room was lovely. The service made a good meal very special. This was one of our most enjoyable meals in Italy, and very reasonably priced, to boot.

We were early in the evening so it was vert quiet - therefore no atmosphere at all. The restaurant is clean and well appointed - however it did feel like it was being packed away for the winter. Food was good - but nothing special. Service was fine once the server thawed out a bit.

Simple restaurant, authentic and delicious Sicilian food at reasonable prices. When we arrived at the restaurant at around 3pm it was almost empty, apart from some local lunching very quietly. We asked if we could order some pizza, The waiter said NO pizza! We then asked if we could see the menu. He said NO menu! He pointed to his lips and said this is the menu. He was very funny. There is a 4 course of fix menu and they offered a choice of two starters, three pasta and two meat dishes, and a bowl of fruit.Giovanni, the owner was very friendly. He served some of the courses by himself. Spaghetti was very delicious. Thanks Giovanni

Ristorante Boomerang is a fish lovers paradise. From the outside it doesnât look much - a cabin with a wooden covered terrace by the side of the road but the food served is excellent and booking is essential. As other reviewers have commented there is no menu, you donât get a choice â- what you are served with is what the chef has bought that day.. As other reviewers have noted there are only a couple of questions to answer â do you want white or red wine (beer is available). We started with the white wine which was eminently quaffable. After you were served some complimentary bread (and for a change the restaurant had bottles of olive oil on the tables) , the fishes dishes arrived. In total there were 7 separate courses. We started with 2 fried young cod each. This was followed by mackerel, red mullet, prawns , two dishes I canât remember and finally sardines â a whole skewer of about 10 sardines each. There was a lovely citrus salad with oranges and balsamic vinegar with the dishes but there were no other side dishes. At the end of the meal we were offered a digestivo, and both chose a lemoncello. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were large and both I and my wife couldnât eat all the sardines at the end. The service was excellent with new dishes appearing shortly after the plates for the previous course had been cleared away. The cost was â¬25 per person including the wine which was amazing value for money. An excellent restaurant
