We got there last night, the son of the owner and later the owner himself welcomed us with the kindness and discretion typical of this beautiful people. He made us feel like being with family. The food was excellent and more than anything we got delighted by the owner. It was late, he sat with us and shared his dream with us and how he made it true. Real people, real food, real hospitality. We look forward to having such experience again. Ps and the sky there... Last time I saw such sky I was in Utah, Mohab. Bravo Giuseppe

Well priced for the village which is slowly taking advantage of the tourist influx of money. They do pizza as eat in or takeaway. The pizza was distinctly average. Slightly over cooked with burnt base and crust. If you just want a quick simple meal though, and not pay the earth then itâs ok.

the refreshment you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast of typical products , fresh milk , riccottine of day , honey business , homemade desserts and many other specialties . For lunch and dinner the chef puts on the table the best of local specialties produc
The moment we left the autostrada we knew we were in for a good time, because there were signposts to Grotta Dell'Eremita every kilometre of the way.The views from Grotta Dell'Eremita are spectacular and the welcome ( including for our dog) was warm.Despite being the only people eating we didn't feel self conscious as we were made welcome and offered the full menu, but our food was freshly cooked (no reheated dishes here) The house wine was great and most of what we ate was home produced, so we really enjoyed our meal.We also stayed and the room was fantastic, and when we asked for extra blankets they were delivered immediately to the room. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and the twin towns of Castelmezzano and Pietrapertozza well worth the tortuous drive

This restaurant deserves a Michelin star ! Great quality and fantastic service, calm and relax location. The food is outstanding, the fillet with truffle actually gave me shivers while eating...it was so tasty and perfectly cooking...I'd go back to pietrapertosa just for a meal here!

The main property is a big house, and there is also a newly built outside pool nearby. But the sleeping facility was an isolated stone house (recently built, I think, but in a traditional stony way) around 500 m away from the main house. The rooms were big, with big beds, simply furnished but clean. The bathroom with shower was ok. There was a net at the window which helped keep away insects, as they were a lot. The landscape is great, but only on one side of the property towards the "calanque" area (a dramatic rocky formation), because on the other side there is a suspended motorway which crosses the valley. We could not see any car passing... Given the isolation, the only close place to eat is the main house which hosts a quite nice restaurant, and we really eat very well, mostly home made products (soups, pasta) and a super tasty grilled meat. It was very, very quiet at night...Compared to the dinner, the breakfast was quite 'slim' with some biscuits and milk and coffee.

We visited Pietraposa for the views, which are extraordinary. But also called in for a light lunch at GVnine. Thank goodness! Lovely focaccia, light Spumante on tap, good beers , excellent ice cream and, best of all, delightful family staff. Also, the cleanest (only clean) cafe toilets in Italy, even with clean intact seats. Very highly recommended and well deserving of 5 stars.

Our host suggested this restaurant, although during our stay in April, there really isn't much open! Got there about 1/2 hour before closing for the afternoon siesta. We had two courses and could not believe the huge portions we were served...in addition to how tasty it was. Approx 23euros included beer and quarter litre of wine Our antipasto included 4 different cheeses - pecorino, ricotta, mozarella and two custards. Then we had a very tasty garbonzo & legumes soup.

We have just finished dinner at this restaurant and my husband and I agree the best meal we have had in Italy. We started with dried peppers, crispy and different to anything we've ever eaten. Then we each had homemade pasta. Perhaps the biggest delight were the desserts. Highly recommended.

My husband and I arrived without a booking when the restaurant was set up for a large group. They quickly created a table for us and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the meal. The meat in the mixed grill was tender and beautifully cooked. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

Peperusko is a restaurant, gastronomy, winery, brewery, a shop of typical products! suitable for everyone .. from families to groups of young people! Peperusko uses only products made in Italy (more precisely in the fantastic Basilicata region!) #riscopri
Lovely location, and if you can get a window seat, great views. Friendly enough staff. The restaurant itself is lovely, however they try to sell that they serve authentic rustic Lucana cuisine. This however is not reflected in the price or produce. A 1/2 glass of wine and gasosa, (with plenty of ice) â¬3.50!?! The platter of âlocal slice meatsâ were standard mass produced mortadella, Milano salami, prosciutto etc. No local handmade salamis as hoped for (â¬13)They served nothing that you canât buy in a local supermarket for a fraction of the price. Yes, your village is getting busier due to tourism, but continue along this path and your reputation and profits will soon fall!!
