Puglia cuisine
Several times I spent my dinner in this cosy restaurant, before to decide to review. Yesterday night with my wife, our two children, we booked a table outside and got a really outstanding experience: 2 "acciughe Marinate con panzanella", 1 "zuppetta di cozze e vongole", 1 "orecchiette sea flavour's", 1 "Thuna fish carpaccio",1 dormouse and squid fried and finally two half portions one of grilled big shrimps and one of big shrimps salt and pepper. Hard to find out the right adjectives to describe each kind of sea food tasted, one for all: awesome! Listen, up to me this is one of the best sea food experience that you can get in between from Modena and Bologna. Is true, the menù isn't so extended but the fish freshness and how the sea food is coocked is out of the question. Great! Something to improve: I tasted several of the white wine available, good but no one at the same level of the cuisine. The owner may be try to safeguard relation between quality and price but personally I would prefer spend some euro more to get Wine quality higher. Some advice of white wine "sea food oriented" not so known and not so expensive: vermentino di sardegna cala silente delle cantine Santadi', pecorino abruzzese di Pasetti, vermentino ligure di Bisson, pigato di Laura Aschero. Grande Domenico! A presto!P.S. Final bill with sparkling water and a bottle of forgettable Fiano d'Avellino ⬠95.00

Service was prompt and friendly. The food, which included complimentary starters of classic tigelli and fried polenta with salame, was based on the excellent meats and breads of this region. A local draught red wine went well very with this fare. This part of Italy offers unbeatable value for money, and the Osteria di Ponzano is a good example. We didn't get to taste their white truffle dishes as it was out of season.

This agritourismo is on top of a hill with a view of the vines. They make their own wines, and the merlot, pignoletto, and barbera were all exceptional. We had the tortelloni with bechamel sauce, which they make by hand and yum yum yum. All the meat was good, particularly the sliced turkey, which was juicy and flavorful. One of the best meals I have ever had. Open Friday and Saturday dinners until midnight, and Sunday lunches. Definitely worth the drive from Bologna.

We booked a table for two the day before, remembering great food from a visit a couple years ago. As we arrived a man told us if we could wait a bit and then told us all the tables in the restaurant were full, so he had to give us a table in the bar room... Well okay, if there's no other choice. As a son of owners of a restaurant this would have been completely unacceptable in our own place (which was not highbrow or anything, but as traditional as this one), if one has booked a table you keep that table for them, there's no question about this in my mind.As for the food we really liked everything, I'm leaving it to other reviewers who have done a good job to describe their (only verbal, unfortunately) menu. The bill was on the steep side for what we ate: 28⬠each for two first courses and a mixed grill shared in two, plus two coffees, desserts and water.

L'estate e finita ci siamo ritirati all'interno......locale accogliente ma piccolino....e meglio prenotare (vi aspettiamo!!!!
The pizza's are the signature dish of this fine restaurant. Very friendly and alert personnel bring you exquise pizza's. Very reasonablypriced you have a large choice. We were amazed by the huge variety! Together with a rather unusual wine selection (we drank Piedmontesian Barbera) La Smorfia is a fine address for any hungry Pizzaholic with a distinct taste!

Wonderful and romantic location, a lot of wine and very good meat ..
This place is hard to find, especially at night because there is not street lighting. Roads are very narrow and dangerous, so drive safely. It is hard to find the main entrance too, but once you are in the food is great. I tried a main course and was beyond my expectations. Many courses were unavailable though. The waitress was wearing a bit of fake smile, but the owner is very kind and weird but in a pleasant way.

The over 80 ladies who ran this place are absolutely adorable and their food is even better! The two sisters and their delightful waitress are a spectacle just by being there, but when they start cooking...boy o boy...those tagliatelle ragout are to die for! Definitely go!!

Ca 'Nova del Tenente is a small village situated in a panoramic position on Monteveglio hills (center part of the National Association of Wine Cities) in the first Bolognese Apennines, between the provinces of Bologna and Modena. The beautiful surrounding
We (a family of four) had dinner at Ca' Nova del Tenente and we couldn't fault it. We had a set menu which consisted of five courses. Antipasti of cold meats, cheese, home-grown tomatoes, chutneys and delicious puffed-up pastries. Then there were crepes filled with vegetables in a delicious creamy, cheesy sauce. The pasta course had two types of pasta - tortellini filled with ricotta and spinach and another shape of pasta with a Bolognese sauce. Then the meat course of fillet of pork and stuffed rolled turkey, served with roasted potatoes. Finally the dessert course, which consisted of four small portions per person of a chocolate cake, an almond cake, something similar to a Bakewell tart and a fruity ice-cream style dessert. All of this was accompanied by several bottles of water (we could have had wine or beer but hubby was driving) and followed with coffee and liqueurs. All of the food was outstanding in flavour, absolutely delicious. The hosts spoke only a smattering of English (but enough that we could understand what we were eating) and were very welcoming and friendly. For our meal we paid a total of â¬100 which we thought was exceptionally good value.Ca' Nova del Tenente is situated in a beautiful hilltop location - we arrived just as the sun was setting on our final evening in the area and we wished we had discovered it sooner so that we could have seen it in daylight.
