This place came so highly recommended no way could we not pay a visit, especially as we were staying within walking distance. It lives up to its reputation and we spent a most pleasant evening, including with a baby, and enjoyed a memorable family meal. Why not five-stars? The service was at times a little abrupt and hurried and a couple of dishes lacked too seemed hurriedly prepared and served which was surprising as the place was not busy not cheap by local standards. I would, however, go back so these are only slight niggles.

a group of twelve of us ended up descending on this little restaurant due to a miscommunication with our van drivers. They graciously took us in and served a lovely family style four course meal that was delicious, despite it being siesta time.

Locale tipico della zona, menú locale, pizza buona anche se troppo sottile. Consigliato a famiglie con bimbi piccoli, strada per raggiungerlo troppo buia e priva di insegne luminose.Camerieri molto gentili.

Had a relaxing lunch here with 6 friends. The location is amazing with unhindered view over the whole valley and full sunshine inside the eating room! The cuisine greatly combines typical roman-Sabina cuisine with a nice touch of Sardinia (the region of owners' origin). The menu is presented orally and is stable in its genuinity. Mixed Antipasti are a very nice way to start with some vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts and pane carassau (typical Sardinian flat bread). Primi piatti are all great homemade pasta: mixed ravioli MUST NOT BE MISSED. Grilled lamb meat in skewers (arrosticini) are juicy and tenders and traditional of central-Italy. Desserts are also worth a taste. Prices are a lot more than reasonable! Will surely come back.

I love the location of this restaurant: a quiet green valley in the bucolic Sabine countryside dotted with ancient Roman ruins and boasting an amazing, beautifully frescoed romanesque cathedral built on the spot where, according to legend, St. Peter presided over a Eucharist. Our original intention had been to visit another restaurant close by, but it was closed, so La Pineta it had to be. I had visited La Pineta a number of years ago with a number of friends but I have to say my memories of that particular meal were overshadowed by the sadness I felt for having to leave Italy soon after. I am very glad we gave La Pineta a second chance because this time the meal was truly memorable. Our lunch started out with a complimentary appetizer plate of warm beans and pork. At our first mouthful of that seemingly simple and humble dish we all looked at each other and said, "Wow!" and it went from there. From the pasta course to the grilled sausages and chicory side I had to the steak and meatball dishes my friends had, our meal was outstanding. My friend who had the steak said it was the best steak she had ever eaten... Was it marinated with a fancy concoction or spiced to the end of its life? No, extremely high quality locally raised meat is the star of the menu at Da Dario and if you eat here it will make you think again about the meat you are used to eating in North America and elsewhere. La Pineta is by no means a fancy restaurant. If you are coming for chi chi decor and waiters in fine suits, don't bother. But if you are interested in honest, quality, locally sourced excellent meat-based country cuisine you may indeed come out of this restaurant thinking it is a new favourite.

L'Asprese is an unpretentious local restaurant with good, simple tasty food -- pasta is made by the chef/owner, along with his own home-made desserts. The meat dishes looked good though we opted for pasta and a plate of appetisers. The host is a cheery former rugby player. Even though he spoke no English and we speak little Italian, we had a lively conversation. The restaurant is a short walk from Casperi, maybe 10 minutes. We were directed here by our Italian B&B owners as a place preferred by locals. We enjoyed our first much so much that we returned a second time the following day.

Went with a group for lunch. We were seated outside in theâincredibly fresh air. The owners were very friendly, they speak English. The meal from the antipasto, pasta, main dish, to the desert was outstanding. The taste and the service. Vegetarians in our group were well accomodated.

My country house is 5km far from Casperia. Every time I go there, I take a little time to have a drink in this delicious coffee shop and vinery restaurant, which has a beautiful landscape and which is very appreciated by foreign tourists. Strongly suggested.

I had the best time here with my family and recommend it to all for a 5 star experience! From the beautiful villa, to our exquisite meal and attentive service; everything was perfect. Chef Alessandro cooked us an impeccable lunch and we left very satisfied. The view at La Belle Evoque is absolutely breathtaking, which adds to the whole experience. This vacation destination is a must for a getaway!

Agriturismo Gestito Da Una Famiglia, Produzione Di Salumi, Farina, Olio. Aperto Il Sabato A Pranzo E Cena La Domenica A Pranzo.
We had Sunday lunch here today: mixed antipasti with some excellent little dishes of chick peas and borlotti beans, salami, prosciutto and cheese; home-made ravioli and tagliolini with pecorino and marjoram (yum!) - followed by tender roast pork and roast potatoes. The full 3 courses including dessert, wine and coffee would have been 30 euros a head. There were two of us and we skipped dessert and shared the antipasti and pork and paid 44 euro. The setting is delightful - right down a single track country lane surrounded by olive groves and meadows full of wild flowers. The agriturismo is family run and it was very busy today with 2 huge family gatherings in progress. Fun to watch, but a bit noisy. Well worth a visit if you're in the area visiting the abbey or exploring the hills.
