I would say the best «pizzeria» in the island and one of the best in Portugal !Finally the real «pizza napoletana» landed on this island together with Mr Gustavo a true master pizzaiolo.What about «pasta»...? It seems to eat in Italy,always «al dente», try to believe it.

Don't be put off by the reviews that make out this is a very expensive restaurant ,it is not the prices are very much in line with most places in Funchal and indeed you will pay fifty percent more within two hundred meters . Despite being part of the Reids Palace this restautant is for everyone ( please don't arrive in shorts and trainers ) this is a special place with great food nod wine spoil your self and your loved ones with dinner on the terrace with one of the best views in Funchal .served by great staff you won't be sorry .Dear Bernard,Thank you very much for visiting us, and for writing your feedback about your dinner. Pasta or pizza by the panoramic views of the seaFreshly baked and still delicious food with a delicious sangria but please bring back your rose sangria which is missed by us!!!Always a popular place to eat, smart dignified decor and relaxing ambience. Clean toilets always an asset.Definitely gets our vote for quality and excellent service.

Arrived late and starving, after waiting a few minutes we were able to get a table for two inside all other tables were full. Large local family groups out celebrating, one group of 20+ young lads. Got to be said these folk know how to have fun without spoiling the meal for others, very well behaved. As for the food we bought two normal sized pizza which in hindsight was daft, should of got smaller size. As for taste they were excellent as were the chips. Two beers and lemon tea added on to the bill which cost 31 euro which was good value. Service was good given the amount of folk that were eating at the restaurant, just relaxed, sat people watching and waited...no problems. Place was full tothe gunnels as were we after finishing our meal. Enjoy!
