Went here for lunch when I arrived before check-in at my hotel. A very good buffet moderately priced, R$39. Salads were fresh and the meats were tender. Overall, a very good selection of dishes. All-you-can-eat fresh pizza and pasta. Very busy, so the food just keeps coming, all of it fresh and good. They made up a plate of gnocchi without meat sauce just because we asked. The chocolate pizza was so good my girlfriend had four slices. Five different people came to our table just to check we were happy with the service. We always come here when we are in Cabo Frio.

This is a small, family run place slightly off the beaten track in Cabo Frio, and if you're craving real Italian pasta dishes, this is the place to come. It was obvious the ingredients were top quality and fresh and the pasta itself proper homemade stuff. This is the sort of place TripAdvisor exists for - to get people who want something better to take a 10 minute drive and find it.

I arrived a few minures before my colleagues and received a warm and educated welcome from sommerlier and head waiter Renato. He explained the menus and showed me the three menus (wines, pastas and pizzas). We ordered three different small (broto) pizzas and gthe offered my non-Portugues speaking colleague and English version menu. The options were thin or thick crust pizzas and all of us went with the thin crust versions. They were excellent and were washed down by very cold Budweiser and Stella Artois beers. The only problem (which was not the restaurant's problem) was the idiot in the building next door that was hammering down a brick wall at 20:00!I recommend this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable.

We had a wonderful meal at La Gondole. We were seated pretty quickly and ordered great wine at the suggestion of our waiter. All of the food was excellent but especially the Chef's Seafood Platter, served on a cast iron skillet. The Chef came out to greet us and tell us his story (He's Swiss). I'd recommend this place to anybody looking for a great meal in a cozy atmosphere in Cabo Frio.

The dinner was great. Joao and his wife were very friendly and polite. The food is delicious (you shall try the canelone of ricotta e spinach), the kitchen is clean, the place is small and simple which makes it informal and very cozy. It's nice to meet some Italian friends back from Rio Grande do Sul. Very well Recommended.
