Having been rudely rejected by another Italian restaurant just around the corner we were pleased to find the Pizzeria Pomodoro doing a roaring trade close by. We were lucky enough to find a table in the crowded interior (it was too cold to sit outside) and we were soon being served by a very busy, efficient waiter. Two of us went for pizzas and the third person in our party had the mushroom risotto. I had the "Inferno" pizza substituting the onions with gorgonzola cheese. This was no problem at all and it was delicious. This is a no nonsense sort of a place. The waiter was pretty grim faced as he coped with the demand. We only later noticed a young lady who also seemed to be on the staff and whose job appeared to be to arrange the few tables and chairs in this cramped place. If you want simple Italian food in a slightly hectic setting on a busy afternoon then you can do wrong in coming here.

Driving along the Mosel valley early in the year on a Sunday you find the vast majority of eateries closed for the winter. Was pleased to see the pizzeria was open. The pizza was poor, salami tasted old, the whole experience was not nice.
We sat outside to watch the river view having just arrived by boat from Cochem. The view was good, watching the ferry and other boats. We had a coffee and tea. The service was good and the price was reasonable. We went round the side, following the waitress, to go into the Eiscafe and found the toilets on the ground floor. They do a variety of ice creams too, but we didn't have any.

We found this little Italian restaurant next to our apartment in Klotten Germany. Having arrived to late to find a grocery store to cook for ourselves, we decided to try Da Giovanni's. The World Cup Soccer Playoff's were going on, so there were many there enjoying the food and the playoffs. The owner, did not speak English, but had a waitress who could help us with the menu and so we ordered. The Cheese tortellini, and the pizza were wonderful, but the hot bread with the galic bread were out of this world. We went back each evening just for takeout orders of the bread and butter. Such a wonderful treat to find this restaurant in such a small village.

Hubs and I had a lovely dinner here. It is a about a 10 minute walk uphill from the square but absolutely worth it. We were seated without a reservation. The inside is wonderfully quirky and looks like a cellar. We split a terrific salmon dish (one of the specials). Service was excellent. I highly recommend a visit!

I have been going here for years. I have never accounted such poor service and attitude from staff. We waited over an hour for food. We will not be returning. I would recommend they invest more customer services training with their staff. Lovely spot which will attract customers.. but...
