Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Boston. Walk the Freedom Trail the first time you visit Boston, and you'll quickly get a sense of this coastal city's revolutionary spirit and history. But make sure you also explore some of Boston's fine museums (try the Gardner, featuring art masterpieces displayed in their collector's mansion) and old neighborhoods (like the North End, Boston's Little Italy). You can't claim to have experienced real Boston culture, though, unless you've watched a Red Sox baseball game from the bleachers.

Dino's is a little place located in Boston's North End located a short walk from the touristy Hanover Street. Its in the heart and soul on a tight street where walking is best surrounded by the smaller shops frequented by the people who live in the area. Definitely Italian, their sauce is wonderful, the service is simple, and the entire place is about 7 or 8 tables. You feel like you are dining at friends house. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the small wine selection is perfect fr the dishes they serve. This is not haute cuisine, this is dining with your Uncle Dino and you'll be glad you did.

This incredible Italian restaurant is in a little storefront that will give you pause as it is very unassuming and frankly noisy and crowded. The staff is very accommodating and the food is off the charts. I had a Veal Chop that was stuffed with herbs and croutons and served with a side of vegetables and pasta. Incredible flavor, cooked to perfection, just the best Iâve had this side of Dâ Raymonds in Albany,NYTry this diamond in the rough and you will be richly rewarded!JonG

Ok so it is not really hidden, just found by accident. Loving small plate restaurants we thought we would give it a try. Loved the decor. Waiter was supper helpful. Drinks were different and delicious. We asked for help ordering and waiter suggested chef tasting menu. Which was fabulous. Even better 1 person in our party of four has a dairy allergy and the kitchen perfectly substituted and plated his portions seamlessly. Would definitely recommend and return. Hello, Thank you so much for your kind review. We are happy you enjoyed our Chef's tasting menu and your overall dining experience with us here at SRV. We hope to host you again soon! I've eaten at excellent Italian restaurants in Sorrento, Sienna, Rome, Ravello, New York City, Toronto, Mexico City, Vancouver and Merida. Mamma Maria is now on my list of top Italian restaurants (including Michelin star places). The food was excellent and well presented. The service (in our case with Italian accent) was professional and friendly. Definitely recommend it and will be back.

This small two-sided shop (one side for sandwich and salad prep...the other for fresh pasta to go and drinks) is VERY good at what it does. It doesnât have seating, but grab an Italian sandwich and find a nearby historic square to dine al fresco. My calabrese special (Prosciutto ham, buffalo mozzarell, tomatoes, pesto and balsamic) was just that...special. Tip: a âsmallâ will do except the most hungry. Prices are very reasonable for the quality! A small sandwich is about $12. Note: there are no tables here, but sister spots close by do.

Based on the TripAdvisor review's, I was excited to try Italian Express. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but we left unimpressed.I ordered a Big Slice of Pizza with sausage and mushrooms. It was definitely a huge slice at a very reasonable price. The dough and sauce were relatively tasty, but all they do is take a pre-cooked slice of cheese pizza, slap some sausage and mushrooms on top of the cooked pizza and warm it up again. Maybe I should have expected this, since I ordered a slice of pizza. But it wasn't as good as the reviews made it out to be.My husband asked how the BBQ Chicken sandwich was made. The waiter said the sandwich had a chicken cutlet, with barbecue sauce on top, and whatever else he wanted on it. Maybe he should have asked more questions, but he was surprised to find that the chicken cutlet was breaded. But he did say the roll was extremely fresh. The restaurant is clean, nothing fancy, but perfectly fine for a small neighborhood restaurant. They did a significant amount of take-out business while we were there, so maybe we just ordered the wrong things. But for me, I won't be going back.

Five friends planned for a special night out. Waited for over an hour with a reservation that was confirmed twice (once by text and the restaurant called me the day of the reservation). I was fuming by the time we sat down. Fortunately we had Nate as our waiter. He calmed us down and was really wonderful. I had arancini for an appetizer. Very good. The sauce here is wonderful. The eggplant parm was incredible - maybe the best Iâve ever had. Each person in my group of five thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I tried my friendâs pollo saltimbocca. Delicious. I blame management for overbooking. Ridiculous. But the food was so good I will give 4 stars.
