Beautiful food, excellent service, serene surroundings. One of the best meals I have ever had. quite expensive but worth every penny. Wish we had found it sooner.

For starter we shared a plate of meats and cheeses. The meats included venison and wild boar and the cheeses came from Croatia and France. The accompanying warm, homemade bread was delicious and definately the best we have had in Italy. Intensely fresh!-We liked it with the garlic and chilli oil. For main we chose from the hand written board of extensive choices, I had purple potato gnocchi with stracchino fondue cheese with poppy seeds. -yum! And my partner had 'Deer and Beer' Ravioli. Rich and flavoursome, and gorgeous after adding more of Matteo's Olive oil!My desert was Chocolate Brownie which was rich but smooth and tasting fresh as you could get, with a sticky sweet toffee sauce. It's was extremely nice.My partner had the Apple strudel "destroyed" (deconstructed). It was a professional job. Perhaps a bit less pastry than a conventional strudel, which was no bad thing in this case. The apple and raisins were a larger part of it and Matteo pulled it off giving a more satisfying and sweet desert than you would otherwise have received. The food was beautiful with a view to enjoy in equal measure. Although the location is pretty remote, we would make the effort to return and repeat a similar experience. Hint: find Matteo on Airbnb and stay a night so you don't have to drive after making an evening of it! The room gives you the benefit of the same perspective/view.Easily 10/10.

Are you in Belluno as a tourist ? Or for business ? Why not to try something different ? This place is just 10 minutes by car from the town centre. You drive out of the town in the middle of the fields ... and you reach this pizzeria/bar whose interiors will remind you about the 80's. Very cosy atmosphere but PIZZA is what makes this pizzeria worth a visit ! You'll enjoy a very special pizza : let's say the real one ! For sure what makes it particular is the preparation process. In fact too often pizza is either hard or too soft, salty and it ferments all night long in your belly by leaving you with a terrible thirst ... not a good feeling indeed ! And I am not talking about rubbish such as Pizza Hut or whatsoever; even in Italy many pizzeria/restaurants serve frozen pizza, with poorly leavened dough or shamely baked in electric ovens. Be sure that here the proper process of even leavening of the dough is carefully followed which needs a lot of time ... impossible to it in a rush. Great attention is paid to consistency and elasticity of the dough besides the specific nature of the rising process and the preparation of the oven which must be fired exclusively by wood. All that will lead you to the perfect pizza that you're lucky to find in Pizzeria Al Dosso which is a rather rare experience ... The kind of pizza you can choose from in the menu are many and some very original ones. I tried "pizza campagnola"- an unusual one but so good ! Very tasty the beer too. And I forgot to tell you that undoubtedly this is the cheapest place you can find in the nearby. So you've just one option left : give a try & enjoy. ( ... remember to make a reservationin advance : there are not too many tables and the pizzeria is often full ).

WE had a very nice meal here. It was pricey but I think competitive for the quality of the food. Service was a little slow. They brought some delicious cookies at the end of our meal. Also they were flexible in dividing the check among a fairly large group.

We just happened by this place on the way back to our hotel. We ordered prosecco and enjoyed the bartender's process of cooling the glasses and decanting the prosecco. We sat outside on a lovely evening and later the waiter brought us some nice appetizers. Maybe it was just that it was our first day in Italy but we enjoyed this bar a lot and went back another time during our stay.

Situated a bit outside the city center of Belluno, this restaurant is a perfect place in the quiet to enjoy an excellent lunch. Great dishes for vegetarians, I really enjoyed their polenta with mushrooms and their lasagne.Service was very good and the place is definitely a good choice for lovers of classic design in the mountains - from the big open fireplace when you enter to the decoration. We both enjoyed our lunch very much and will be back! Mostly visited by locals and pretty full.
