A relaxed evening with the option of eating inside or out. We chose outside tucked in a courtyard at the back of the restaurant to make the most of the warm evening. Service was friendly and the food was good, tasty and reasonably priced, although not outstanding. The deconstructed tiramisu was a let down for me as the biscuit was hard. But I appreciate this is personal taste and I love tiramisu.

No pizza available at lunch time, which was big disappointment. They had some daily specials but those were not offered to foreign tourists proactively, just like house wines were obviously also only for Italians and tourists were offered bottled more expensive ones. Pastas were good as expected, but next time will prob go elsewhere.

Disclaimer: I haven't had a chance to eat at Alma Civita because we ended up leaving after 30 minutes of neglectWe chose Alma Civita for our lunch on a quiet Friday afternoon. The place was mostly empty, there were a few couples sitting outside, and a small family who arrived with us.The server who was supposed to be serving us brought the menus to the family sitting right next to us, served them water, took their order and disappeared for 10 minutes. After a while, the business owner noticed that we were not given menus or served water and asked the server to serve us. We were given menus and water but in the mean time, another couple arrived and went downstairs and our server followed them. For 20 minutes straight, every time we saw our server carrying menus and water downstairs, we tried to let him know that we're ready to order and asked to wait more. In the mean time the family which arrived with us finished their lunch and paid their bill. We left before them, but hungrier. They lost our business. This is a higher-end restaurant and if I am expected to pay premium prices, I would like to receive premium service. You can't expect your customers to sit quietly and do nothing for 30 minutes, no one has that much time, even on their vacations.Dear Sir,we are really sorry to read your words because believe me, alma civita try to offer a punctual and professional service to all our customers every day.I carefully read your words and I am surprised and incredulous to know that you waited for about 30 minutes because never happened before. In fact, just read the many recesnsioni of our customers to understand the quality of the service we offer, obviously we are not a fast food and also the times of service and reception are different. We have no reason to treat customers in a different way, because we do this job with seriousness, passion and professionalism .... we always try to have a peaceful and familiar relationship with our guests, to give them a good experience.I'm sorry anyway for what you described and I hope you can be our guest again because I will be happy to show you the true face of alma civita. In the wait, I send you our best regards.MaurizioAlma Civita restaurant & rooms

Restaurant, wine bar, cafeteria. Our menu offers local cuisine with attention to local products. Selections of wines from Tuscia and from all Italian regions. Extraordinary craft beer.
We stopped here for a drink on a hot day on our way to the Civita. The place initially looked quite small but then we realised it has a garden area at the back which was cool and peaceful. The service was very friendly and good and I wished we'd been around to try it in the evening too, for a chilled glass of wine.Grazie per esservi fermati nel nostro giardino, siamo lieti di avervi fatto "assaggiare" un po' del nostro delizioso pezzo d'Italia, la Tuscia. Un caro saluto da tutto lo staff! Maria Teresa

We returned to Bagnoregio for lunch after visiting Civita di Bagnoregio. The place seemed dead and we were despairing of finding a restaurant when we stumbled upon this place - and what a find! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food so good we had three courses. The dolce were particularly good. We would recommend the lemon cake. We were puzzled about signs for a Secret Garden - we never saw it but I gather it was upstairs - perhaps it was not open when we visited. Would go again.

After a strenuous climb to the civita in Bagnoregio, we were happy to get some great advice and arrive at this ristorante. The risotto was excellent and the house wine more than adequate. The service was friendly and efficieint. The presence of locals assured us of the quality of the food.

We found the small restaurant through TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Everything was perfect: the lovely young woman who served us, the welcome prosecco, the local red house wine, and the food! I had the very best âfettuccine con fonduta di Fontina e tartuffoâ I have ever had, and it was a huge portion too. My husband had the hamburger which was delicious as well. The price of the lunch was very reasonable for the excellent quality! We will definitely come back.

We came with a group of 35 highschool boys and made a reservation a few days in advance. Paying 15 euro per person, we had bruscetta, pasta (seconds if you wanted it), a meat with potatoes, and a delicious homemade desert. The guys were stuffed! They put us in the "grotto" or underground cavern, which dates back to the Etruscan period. We had that place to ourselves and it was a really cool atmostphere and quiet the experience.Gracias padre...Les deseo de todo corazon una linda estadiaVioleta

On our last night in Orvieto we enjoyed a beautiful meal at this lovely restaurant, in the heart of Orvieto. Friendly and helpful staff, a complimentary Prosecco to start, as well as canapes, after discussion with staff we decided on wild boar stew for my man and for me Irish beef and rosemary, served with baked potatoes, an a beautiful bottle of red local wine. All beautiful!Good helpful staff, lovely atmosphere, thoroughly recommend this classy restaurant in downtown Orvieto.
