We had a Winter Getaway package with the Inns of Ocean Grove which included a gift certificate for dinner. We chose this restaurant. It was an excellent choice. This is a lovely elegant but not pretentious restaurant with excellent service, a great wine, beer and cocktail menu and excellent food. Our apps and meals were beautiful, fresh and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was lovely and the dessert tray was amazing. So many options, so little stomach space. A great place to eat on the Jersey shore and worth the drive.

We found this restaurant to be as good or better than restaurants we visited in Italy. We had reservations (Highly commended) and were promptly seated in a comfortable booth in the dining room. Our server came right over to the table to take our drink order, left and then returned with, hot delicious Italian bread. Mrs. B ordered the Linguini with lobster and shrimp covered in vodka sauce, I ordered the veal parm. A shared salad was brought to us and there was plenty and the house dressing was wonderful. The veal parm was so tender you could cut it with your fork, the sauce was delicious and was accompanied by perfectly cooked ziti. You will be taking leftovers home and enjoy them once again.

Tried this restaurant during Jersey Shore Restaurant Week and was impressed with the entrees we chose, they were delicious. Service and staff were friendly and accommodating. We had early reservation and by the time we left almost all tables were occupied. I would recommend the seafood, very fresh and tasty, also presentation was professional. Was a little disappointed in zucchini fries as they were very oily but the rest of our courses were extraordinary.

This is a lively and fun place on the boardwalk right at the border between Asbury Park and Ocean Grove. The servers were delightful and the atmosphere bright. The food was also inventive, very tasty and attractive. However, for an expensive high-toned restaurant there were flaws.Service was a bit slow. We had to request bread well into our wait for the entree even though olive oil was part of the table setup. And the food was overly salted, and in my case well done...more than my specification. To be fair, I am over reacting, but forf the price, I would expect better.

Del Ponteâs Coal Fired Pizza .. pizza the way it should be. Using quality and fresh ingredients we offer a wide range of hand tossed salads, Paniniâs, and of course, custom authentic coal fired pizza.
The star ledger seems to have missed this goldmine of Pizza originality - grab a table for 4 bring a bottle of wine or beer - order a special salad and two large pizzas! Save room for dessert and walk next door to the bakery to select cookies, biscotti and pastries! What a dynamite dinner with a sweet treat for a song! Unbeatable

Freshly prepared Italian meals, BYOB (nearby liquor store), Catering, Parties
We recently had a family dinner here for 8. The restaurant doesn't open until 5pm. We arrived right at 5pm and was promptly seated. I didn't do my homework and didn't realize that the restaurant was a byob restaurant. Luckily there was a liquor store just two doors down so we quickly ran down and brought back some wine. The staff was attentive and flexible. One of our kids needed to leave earlier than the rest of us so she ordered early and got her food brought out before we had even placed the rest of the order. The bread was amazing and we asked for more since it was so good. The portions were large. Almost all of us took home leftovers. I had the chicken giovanni and it was tasty, served with mashed potatoes and really good vegetables. A couple of our party had chicken parm and it came with four cutlets and a bowl of pasta. You could have shared a plate with two people. Two of our party had salads and they were huge. The staff was kind enough to bring extra plates so everyone could share. The restaurant isn't huge and they said that every table had a reservation that night (a Saturday). When we left around 7 pm the place was full. Parking was a little bit of an issue. There is only street parking or small city lots. You pay regardless. We had to walk two blocks from our parking spot. It was definitely a good choice considering everyone found something they enjoyed and the service was excellent. Thanks for such good service Pallo! For 8 of us, with tip was around $250.

Serving the Jersey Shore Since 1947For more than 4 generations Vics Bar & Restaurant has been serving the most authentic and sought after Italian food at the Jersey Shore.Vittorio Vic Giunco opened Vics Tap Room shortly after prohibition was repealed in 1
I've been eating Vic's pizza for half a century. It has always been one of the best pizzas EVER. I have raved about it to other people as one of the best I'd ever eaten. So it is with a heavy heart that I have to downgrade my opinion. I ate there a few nights ago and the pizza was just not the same Vic's I've known my whole life. The pizza was not bad, but it just wasn't the real deal. Why would you change a recipe that has been sooo successful for soooo long? Especially when it's been rated as one of New Jersey's best. If you like super thin crust pizza with a mild sauce, then, by all means, enjoy the new Vic's. It's good. But it's not of the unique and delicious pie it was even a couple of years ago.Sorry to hear your recent experience wasn't to your liking. I promise you that the recipe hasn't changed and the same chefs who make the seasonings and cook the sauce have been here for 25-45 years. I am also sorry you didn't ask us in person about your suspicions. We could have communicated that nothing has changed to you in person and made something else for you if the pizza wasn't right. I sincerely hope you won't let one bad experience dictate your dining habits, especially after half a century of eating at Vics. I am sure if we got it right for 50 years that you wouldn't judge us on one bad experience. We hope to entertain you again in the near future and to meet your expectations.

I had an appointment at the Social Security office in Neptune, so I decided to go to here for lunch. It was crowded, so I sat at the bar, which entitled me to order a bar pie (which I had with mushrooms). If you like thin crust pizza (to my mind, the best kind), you'll love it here.

Homey atmosphere and good food at this family-friendly restaurant. Pizza was delicious but be aware that it is bar pie size -- get at least two if you are with a few people. Good music and decent service. Try to get a seat outside if weather permits; less noisy and more comfortable.

Had dinner there last night. Everything was delicious. I had the lobster special served over fresh linguini with lump crab and capers. My husband had the pork chop Brando style. Dessert was also delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. Don was a great server! Will definitely be back.
