I was really looking forward to trying this new restaurant occupying the old "Comfort Market" location in Arroyo Grande. I love small plates as a way to share with friends and have more choices. As soon as my husband and a friend were seated they were offered bread at an extra cost, plus a "per pat" charge for butter. WHAT?!? As the guys planned on having paninis, they declined the offer. Do you suppose Sconos churns their own butter, and that is what makes it more costly? The paninis ($11) were good, and came with fires; but when my husband asked about getting ketchup for the fries, he jokingly remarked, "I suppose that there is an extra charge for ketchup too?", the waiter didn't say anything - but guess what: the bill shows a $1 charge for "Add Ketchup"! I couldn't believe it. I REALLY hate to be nickled and dimed like this. Come on Sconos - you're not making friends or "regulars" with this sort of policy. As it is, the prices - especially for their wines-by-the-glass - are already on the high side.

I must say I had one of the nicest pizzas of our trip here, my partner had the spaghetti meatballs and he said it was great, the service was so good and the guy that served us gave us some great advice on the rest of our trip and where to stop off and we took his advice and it all worked perfectly so thanks,

We were visiting this past weekend and wanted to support local business. Growing up, that's all we knew and I think kids today are spoiled with so many options and that thankfully we can take them there. With that said, it was raining and we wanted to take some pizza home but didn't want to buy the same thing we can get anywhere else. A quick search led us to Fatte's pizza. Like I mentioned earlier, nothing special. You walk in and see a counter with a menu on the wall and oven baking the back. Plain and simple, very old school. The pizza wasn't the best but it was very enjoyable. Everyone loved and we would totally eat here again if we're in the area!

We stay in Pismo Beach in the Winter and Giuseppeâs is one of our favorite places to eat. They have a very wide variety of foodsânot just pizza, but pastas, great salads, and delicious desserts. The staff is friendly and efficient. There are several tables in the shop, and you can also order to go. Love it!

Congrats to Palo Mesa WFP!According to KCOY local news, the owner went to Italy for a Pizza contest and they placed in the top 50anywhere.See article on the KCOY website titled : " Arroyo Grande's Palo Mesa Woodfire Pizza shines in competition in Italy "....""There was a competition in San Diego in October, I went down there and competed and that got me a spot on the United States Pizza Team," said Palo Mesa Pizza Owner Michael Stevens.The worldwide competition brought generations of pizza makers to fight for the world's best pizza crown...""I meet the Jovial, friendly, and helpful Mr. Steven after they opened in AG and he proudly showed me the care that theyput into the yeasty dough. They allow a whole day for the dough toraise naturally as the yeast do their thing. Even though there is not much to see since it is tiny [and on a tiny corner] , but "mighty" place, they lay right on the doorstep to AG Village.If you blink, it is easy to miss...so use your GPS or mapping software.It is rather tiny inside, so take out is a good option. If crust & dough is what you like the best about Pizza, then go either here or G's in Pismo Beach. If you rather care about mediocre crust & lots of toppings, then Blaze in AG is more your speed.PMWF has great crust & interesting toppings such as Smoked Cheese or Anchovies.As I have found with other local Pizza chains, individual stores can vary quite alot....so I would likely stick with AG for now. Since they are right next to both AG Village & near the Farmer's Market, they are an ideal stop on the way home out of AG. They are just one block to the N101 entrance.

Take out can have a double meaning . Perhaps it should be the type where it is "taken out' and never heard from again! Was "forced" to comment based upon the review today(3/29/18 in the SLO Tribune indicating this as being "the best Pizza in SLO County".My opinion is... the "worst" pizza in SLO county. A few months ago I went to the restaurant for 2 take out pizza's. Not only did they get the order wrong the first time and had to have another clerk/pizza maker take the order but I could not help the sick feeling I had as I watched several of the he pizza makers flip the pizza's in to the air....in their hands hands(no latex gloves) and then come over to the cash register and hit the keys on the computer...causing all the little germs on the computer to go from there to their hands. The pizza had an excessive amount of crust...thicker than the "thin" pizza I ordered and with just OK ingredients. How this pizza place is "award winning" leaves me almost breathless and in further in shock. For what I was charged I would have expected much better quality of ingredients ..a better crust and higher health standards.

As we were a party of two, we did not have to wait as long as the bigger parties. Very busy, but service was agreeable, nice server Frank T. My wife had Minestrone $7.50, very nice with a Caesar salad $9.00. I choose the Cannelloni, $17.00, but what a portion. It was good, but not brilliant, hence the 4 not 5 score. With wine and beer $10 & $7 respectively, followed by one cappuccino @ $3.95, came to a total of $59 including tax. So good value. Recommended.Thank you for your feedback! The top pizza in the photo is the Gino's Special. The other is a gluten free pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Both size small. My family of 4 had leftovers from 2 small pizzas!! Couldn't believe it. Each slice was so filling and delicious. My daughter had the spaghetti and raved about it and said the garlic bread was great!. As a person with celiac its hard to find good gf gifs. But this pizza was amazing!!! The staff was smiling and friendly. And the atmosphere was very relaxed, even had a few games for the kids, pinball, racing game, etc..

We were a large party and unfortunately we had a long wait for food to arrive. Having said that the menu was very comprehensive and there was something enticing for all the members of our party, some of whom are vegetarian. The servers were very apologetic about the long waiting time and provided us with baskets of bread to keep the younger members of the party going. In the end spaghetti and meatballs, pumpkin ravioli and other pasta dishes were declared excellent.
