We visited with our italian friends to say Arriverderci and Grazie Mille to them for all of their generosity and kindness during our 3 week stay in Anghiari. The Restaurant came highly recommended by another italian firiend and we all really enjoyed a superb meal. It is a small venue but warm and cosy with very helpful friendly and knowledgeable staff. We shared the tete a tete antipasti which was a delicious mix of local meats, cheeses, crostini and pastries. My husband ate the pork fillet which he declared the best ever eaten, so tasty and cooked to perfection, I ate chicken which was moist & tasty, whilst fresh pasta dishes were declared 'superb' by our italian friends. Dolce was also lovley - chocolate mousse and cheesecake all washed down with local red and white wines. A fabulous evening with good friends and the perfect end to our most tecent stay in Anghiari - we will definitely visit here again.

In my view, Da Alighiero should be the number one ranked restaurant in Anghiari on this site. They do everything right and exceeded our expectations in every way: friendly welcoming staff, warm & cozy ambiance, imaginative menu, a solid "wow factor" with every dish we were served, reasonable prices and very modest & appreciative owners (Sylvia & Giovanni). I couldn't help but overhear the positive rapport between the owners and staff signalling this must be a great place to work. There should be a line out the door of customers waiting to get inside here. Fabulous in every way!

I shouldn't eat pasta, but every now and then you come across a restaurant where it is so delicious it is worth the weight gain. This is such a place. Home made and utterly divine I had - on separate occasions - the ravioli with classic butter and sage, and another time tagliatelle with hare (the rabbit version). I was unable to leave any on my plate. Both were simply fantastic. All their dishes were good. They accommodated my veggie husband with a fabulous veggie anti pasti platter. I also loved the rabbit with capers.Run by a charming couple. She cooks. He waits. How does he have such slim hips working there?!And such good value.

I don’t normally complain about prices. But this is a very ordinary place and prices for our panini weren’t low. At lunchtime to add Coperto( cover) for this has not happened anywhere in Italy on this trip. And they overcharged for one item. Finally their soft drink prices were much higher than we paid elsewhere. There’s a much better and nicer place about 25 metres away If you had food in our bar I’m sure you had a menu where prices are write also “coperto” one euro, ridiculous, in other places I payed much more, so I don’t understand if for you the prices were too high you decided to stay, why don’t you go in the other nicer place about 25 metres away? When I go out I’d like find prices and food like mine.....

Using beef from their own valchianina cattle and other locally sourced produce this is a special meal. Extra care is taken on both preparation and presentation making it stand out from the many other good but slightly samey restaurants in the Caprese/Anghiari area. The zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and goats cheese smothered in sliced truffles were superb and then the star of the show - a perfectly cooked and season fillet steak.A good selection of wines and a very friendly welcome and service makes for a very enjoyable evening.

Il Feudo del Vicario

Maybe it was because of the highly stressed servers on a busy Friday night, maybe it was because we waited at least 20 minutes to receive a menu after being seated, maybe it was when we saw someone from the kitchen staff arrive with a large shopping bag from Penny Market (a low-cost, low-quality supermarket here in Italy), maybe it was because we were told the porcini mushrooms on the menu were frozen (even though they are readily available fresh everywhere in Italy as this is high season). Maybe it was because the bruschetta was a PASTE of tomatoes on stale bread. Maybe it was a combination of the whole experience. Only one word comes to mind: ABYSMAL. If I were working in this restaurant I would be so embarrassed!I've re-submitted this review to include the attached photo of the "RECEIPT" for our dinner at Il Feudo del Vicario last night (Friday, July 12, reservation at 8 pm). We were seated on the small balcony (two adults with a small dog, surely the wait staff will remember us). I urge the owner (who responded in the most rude and vicious way possible to my legitimate review, claiming I had written it fraudulently) to check our reservation from last night to confirm that we indeed had dinner at her restaurant. Yes, we also reserved for tonight (Saturday, July 13), but have since cancelled due to our miserable experience the night before.

We visited Anghiari for 1 night and stumbled across this restaurant. It’s just round the corner from the main square.Service was good and the waitress spoke English which helped! We had mixed mixed bruschetta to start for 3 people, homemade wholewheat pasta with tomatoes, capers, olives and mozzarella, a spaghetti dish with local sausage meat, courgettes and shaved truffle, and duck gnocchi. A mixed salad, lovely bottle of red wine, a glass of prosecco, water x 2 big bottles, 2 desserts: biscotti & vin santo and tiramisu, and am espresso.Delicious meal and good value at €69.

Restaurant located in the countryside near Anghiari. We booked a table here via The Fork. Interesting menu. My boyfriend ordered gnocchi, as first dish, while I had codfish served with potatoes bread. My fish was good. As main dish we both ordered boar and porcini mushrooms cooked in the oven on a vine leaf. We enjoyed the food. Service was warm and professional. With 1 small bottle of local wine, 1 bottle of water, 1 dessert (a delicious pistacchio smifreddo) and 2 coffees we paid about 85€. Parking for free but not comfortable for disables.

The is a listing under hotels on TA but nothing under Restaurants. You don't have to stay at the hotel to eat there. Cuisine is Italian. But your page of questions would not highlight that!

Not far from Citta di Castello, drive through Lerchi and look for a sign on the left for the tiny road to Celle. Drive up and up to arrive at the Ristorante of Borgo di Celle. This is a lovely place to eat in the warm weather months. Possibly not at weekends as they cater for celebrations including weddings. A delicious lunch for two with good wine set us back € 75 in total. The setting is panoramic and close to the Pilgrims Way, (via Francigena). Naturally the water was San Pelligrino! The staff are kind and the piped music can hardly be heard in the elegant, tented dinning area.
