Gastwirtschaft mit Biergarten. Gutbürgerliche Küche, Fischspezialitäten und Pizzeria im Zentrum von Terlan. Saisonale Spezialitäten wie die Terlaner Spargeln im Frühling. Grosse Auswahl an Bier, Wein und Spirituosen.
Good pizza with nice garden. Nice selection of beers and local wine. Friendly service and child friendly.

We have been going to Pilhof for more than 10 years and it has had its ups and downs but recently more downs than ups, at least in our experience. Today was another down: we went for lunch and ordered a bruschetta starter to share and then a salad and a soup. And water. That was it, nothing complicated as we were pressed for time. The bruschetta came and was very tasty, but for â¬9, perhaps rather overpriced. Then we waited for our food - a salad and a soup, which should both have turned up quite quickly, especially as the place was quite quiet. After 25 minutes, we asked one of the waitresses where they were, as our original guy had disappeared. She went off to find out, and came back to say they would be with us in 2 minutes and a couple of minutes later, the food turned up without much of an apology.Ok, we had to wait. But we were pushed for time and quite frankly a salad and a soup are not complicated things to produce. The basic problem was our original waiter, who wasn't bothered about providing us with proper service and disappeared into another part of the restaurant, so he didn't realise there had been a mix-up in the kitchen (although as the place was so quiet, and as the kitchen's job is to produce food to order, and as we had already received our starter, how come it was so easy to mess up our order of salad and soup??).If a restaurant wants to keep regular customers who are no longer overwhelmed by the interior decor and presentation, as many reviewers here obviously are - for good reason but we've seen it all before - then they need to work on the quality of the food and the service. The food was good, but we paid â¬29 for a small bruschetta starter to share, a potato soup, a small salad and a bottle of still water. As the food was good, but not excellent, that price must also be justified by excellent service. And excellent service it wasn't!It's a shame, as Pillhof used to be much better. In the end Pillhof seems to aspire to a level which it can't reach due to the inconsistent quality of the food and the consistently indifferent service. The only high level they do manage to reach quite easily is the price... And if you want to pay prices like that, there are better quality places to visit in and around Bozen.

We had a delightful dinner here and highly recommend the Chef's pizza with spinach, ricotta and prosciutto. We had a very nice waitress that could speak English well and was happy to provide guidance. For desert the ricotta dumplings stuffed with apricots and served with homemade vanilla ice cream were both unusual and delicious. The portions are generous so feel free to share your dishes. Reservations are a good idea for popular times, especially in the evening as it gets cooler and more guests want to sit inside. There is ample free parking on site.

The Nalser bacher Keller, literally the cellar by the stream in Nals, is a "buschenschank". That is a wein stube where the owners sell their own produce, in this case wine and meats and honey. It is about 500 m from the centre of Nals , all uphill, in the direction of Tisens/Tesimo. There is car parking for about 4 cars in front of the Keller but more on the road on the RHS just before going over the bridge over the stream. The Keller is on the LHS but there is only a small sign to indicate that you have found it. As the owners are farmers it only opens from end of March to end of June, then beginning of August till mid December. It opens daily, not Wednesday, from 5PM. The reason to make the journey is to sample excellent home cooking washed down with a delicious Vernatsch wine and topped off with a complimentary schnaps. The service is exemplary. A menu in English took some finding but they did have a 3 year old one, The menu had hardly changed. The menu is short but mouthwateringly good. The Keller is situated inside a rustic farmhouse and the furniture is equally rustic. This is not the place to go if you want pristine linen or musak, but if you like good old fashioned cooking with home made ingredients, at very good prices, then you won't be disappointed. Booking is recommended at weekend.

Our comfortable country inn, part of the "South Tyrolean Inn" group, is located in Sirmiano/Sirmian above Nalles/Nals, between Merano/Meran and Bolzano/Bozen at 930m altitude. In the midst of a green environment and in a hiking region, our inn is an ideal
A restaurant that has great food, good prices, and has very a kind and friendly ambiance. The ratio quality/price is exceptionally good. Very recommended!

The menu was not extensive. All four meals were okay but not as good as we expected. Would suggest a short drive to another.
