Craving an Italian dinning experience, in Alpine. Mediterraneo Italian Bistro and Bar is a spot for you. Just off Highway 8, and about a 30 minute drive from downtown San Diego. Ample parking, with indoor or outdoor seating. Service is hit or miss depending upon who is working. Traditional Italian dishes and desserts prepared without fanfare. They will a bottle of wine with your meal. Didn't get a chance to take in the bar, but from our view folks were enjoying the casual atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, as are the drinks. Rating of average for lack of "wow factor". A step up in presentation would elevate our ranking.

This has been a family favorite for years. When ever a large group gets together, this is one of our favorites. Great menu and plenty of seating, that have a bar with TV. If you like and the prices are just right. Good for the whole family.

One of my favorite pizza places in the Alpine area.Good crust and plenty of cheese! It's always about the cheese...!!!Only one complaint - lately it's hit and miss on how well it is cooked. We have had everything from raw dough in the middle to a burnt bottom crust. Paying a little attention would go a long way towards pizza perfection.
