With a couple of friends trying to drink a glass of wine we were waiting a long time for our first glass. The second one was a real disaster. Waiting more than a half hour before any reaction and being told that locals were served before tourists in a very offensive and arrogant way. Than we were invited to leave since we pretended a professional service. Nice ambiente but never again. GENTILE SIG.

UvaSpina Restaurant in Moncalvo , an intimate and cozy dining room decorated in a country chic style and offering a breathtaking view on Monferratoâs hills from its large glass doors. A chance to appreciate the richness of the local cooking and the unique
Were there recently for lunch and dinner while staying at hotel Spinerola. Very nice and cosy restaurant with excellent food and wine. The restaurant was rather pricey compared with other restaurants and for dinner we couldn't eat outside due to lots of gnats. Staff was very friendly, quick and attentive.Dear Alex L,Thank you very much for your 4* review. We are delighted to hear that you loved the food, service and atmosphere at our Restaurant UvaSpina.

Situated near the main square of the village center.
aloof staff, not a smile all evening...onion soup was tasteless and just bread and juice, no onions...had the sliced beef which was tough and also tasteless...partner had the pork which she enjoyed...they could have cared less as to whether we liked the food or not....bot to be recommended..give it a miss

This family owned and operated restaurant offers genuine Piemonte cuisine, complemented with a wide selection of great wines. The best way to describe Ristorante da Maria is simply this: itâs our favorite restaurant in Piemonte. This was our third year visiting this area, and da Maria has become our âgo-to,â first stop for restaurants in the area. Their prices are reasonable (much lower than in the metropolitan areas.) Go with the pre fixe menu and youâll be glad. Better still, if youâre open to enjoying a meal as an experience, just let Roberto serve you. But, go hungry and allow yourself at least two hours to fully enjoy what promises to be a memorable meal. We have consistently enjoyed every dish weâve been served at da Maria. The plate of six antipasti offers a showcase of appetizers created in the local tradition. Da Mariaâs renowned agnolotti (a Piemonte favorite of small ravioli filled with meat) is a must. For the âsecondaâ we enjoyed a veal dish in a Barbera sauce. Desserts included peaches filled with chocolate, an apple tort with chocolate, strawberries, and gelato with âmostardo monferratoâ a tasty, sweet, jam like topping made from grapes, apples, pears and spices (in some areas of Piemonte called âcugnà â) .

No highlights, apart from the beef tartare. We had a choice of entrees, including the white truffle tagliolini (â¬50), and a few different mains: the "bollito" was excellent but any other dish has shown no surprises. Wine is what you may expect from the Region, and Barbaresco is always my favorite. Service quite slow, bill tangible.

Bit of a search to find this but a real gem that is quaint. Compact restaurant but great food and friendly service. Arancini were great as were mixed meats, pizzas were outstanding. Well worth a visit and great value too.

What a wonderful gem in the heart of Piedmonte! We stayed at Crealto as a couple with two toddlers and my-mother-in law for three nights over a long Easter weekend. The rooms were clean, modern, functional, but still cosy and inviting. The hotel and winery is run by two couples, Luigi and Eleonora, and Andrea and Elisa. They have all put their heart into setting up this refuge and making Crealto special place. Everything is done with attention to detail and compassion -- the rooms (where the soaps match the spice or flower the room is named after), the vinery (quite extraordinary and fully organic), the restaurant (delicious, mouth-watering).We loved the place and the friendly atmosphere around the agritourismo hotel (it is not only a restaurant it is also a hotel). A true insiders' tip, and ideal hide-away for a relaxing time. We highly recommend Crealto for families, couples, and groups of friends. Can't wait to go back.

In the heart of Monferrato, on gentle hills recognized as a Unesco heritage, surrounded by vineyards and hazelnut trees of the property, in the manor house of the early eighteenth century, the farm La Quercia Rossa ensures a âfamilyâ welcome in a warm and
Our group of 8 had six meals here (three were breakfast) and not one single dish disappointed. Pasta with truffles was wonderful; so was the risotto. Veal excellent. Local vegetables great. Don't miss the dessert.
