In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Alcantarilha e Pêra. With an area of 19.54 square kilometres (7.54 sq mi) the population of 2347 inhabitants (based on the 2001 census) is dispersed throughout the territory (there are 120 inhabitants per kilometre square of territory).

We were recommende to this restaurant by someone who visited regularly so we booked a table. On the first visit the food was good well presented and well served. The pizzas were well cooked and tasty.On our second visit the restaurant was far busier and the service was poor and rushed and the pizzas did not look as appetising as before, were undercooked and lacked finesse. On this visit no one checked if all was ok. It seemed as if they wanted you in, fed and out to get more customers in. Excellent food - started with Bruschetta to share and then really good main courses of Calzone and Quattro Stagioni. Desserts of Zabaglione and chocolate mousse - both delicious. Staff were attentive but not overpowering. Really nice setting and well worth a visit

The pizzas here are fine. The wood fired oven ensures the bases are light and crispy and there is a good selection to choose from. They are quite small but just about worth the money. Whilst nothing to rave about, they were standard fare.The service here is quite another matter. The male waiters were, in the main, unpleasant and unwelcoming. Raised eyebrows and shared sideways looks were the order of the day. It was almost a masterclass in how not to treat your customers. Very busy restaurant but not one weâll return to.

We have just returned from a great evening dining at this family run restaurant.Not only was the food of a very high standard, the staff are what makes this place special. Fabio and the other family are passionate about their restaurant and make for a special dining experience. The pizzaâs are up there with the best I have eaten, washed down with a great Sangria. The staff make a point of speaking to every customer about where they are from and if they can help them with any local knowledge. If you like pizza and kind, friendly staff, this is the place for you.Highly recommended

Cannot remember how many times I been here plain simple Italian but great ambiance and great service. Best value for money in the area. Great work ladies!Slight delay in service due to influx of guests but handled well and arguably over compensated. Will return. Steve and Wilma

Been here several times with my wife and with friends. Since they extended the restaurant last year there is a lot more space. Friday night it was quite popular. Friendly staff and prompt service. Started with the flaming garlic prawns, which are always spectacular and great fun. Then had grilled fish main courses, accompanied by local red wine. Fish were large and we didn't manage to eat the side salad, as the potatoes and spinach were plentiful. Excellent meal and good value, especially the wine.

We had a late dinner here last night and it was excellent. I had the spaghetti, the local soup, salad and excellent bread. My better half had seafood risotto which was delicious. Our server Mary was excellent, charming and very helpful in giving us some advice on the areasâ tourist attractions namely different beaches.We will be going back in a day or two.Great value for your money.

This was my favourite restaurant in Armacao however things have changed dramatically. The menu is completely different and the standard of food is way below the previous high standards. I had the mushroom risotto which was average at best. This was a great restaurant but sadly I wonât be going back.

Pizzas were fabulous!!! Nicest pizza I've had in a long time! Ordered the 4 cheeses! Staff were so quick and so so friendly too.. lovely family vibe to it! Highly recommend!
