Whether you're into history, culture, outdoor adventures or just in need of some new and unique scenery, Albuquerque offers exciting attractions for all ages and interests, anytime of the year. In the historic section of Old Town, ancient Indian and Spanish cultures come to life through old churches, quaint shops and piazzas, winding brick paths and adobe benches. Browsers can spend a whole day making their way through the more than 100 stores, boutiques and galleries that sell Southwestern goods as well as unique products from around the world. During the winter holiday season, Old Town is adorned with small lit candles and thousands come to stroll through the streets, listen to live music and celebrate. It is truly a sight to see. But the history doesn't stop there. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the Petroglyph National Monument offer a glimpse of old Indian customs and art. Families will find plenty to do at the Albuquerque Biological Park, which features a zoo, aquarium and botanic garden. Outdoor types will find ample opportunities for hiking, biking and golf. After working up an appetite, head to any number of fine restaurants that serve up a choice of hot or even hotter New Mexican cuisine. To top it all off, take a ride on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway for spectacular views of all this vibrant city has to offer.

Old Town Pizza Parlor

Reviewed By Maria B

Ordered a pizza online. Showed my card to what I thought was to verify the purchase but ended up being double charged. $50 for a mediocre 16” pizza. Then I am told they don’t have a website to order off of (literally ordered off of oldtownpizzaparlorabq.com) Talked to someone else who says they do have website but nothing can be done until Monday. After being on hold for a long period of time she says it can be refunded if I give her my three digit verification code on the back of my credit card, which of course I’m not comfortable with. I ended up driving back So they could run my card. When I went in, Savannah had the audacity to ask me “why I let her charge me twice?” Apparently because she doesn’t know how to do her job correctly. Instead of being apologized to for having to drive all the way back and double charged, the servers were rude and made it seem like it was my fault for getting charged twice. I asked to speak to a manager and the two girls say it’s only them on a Saturday night. They need to be taught some basic customer service skills if anything. Pizza wasn’t worth the hassle.

M'tucci's Italian

Reviewed By dmen12018

Pretty much all the locals know that M'Tucci's offers consistantly great Italian food in the Albuquerque metro area, and our visit on a recent Sunday evening only confirms this. The place was packed, but we were able to get in without a reservation with no trouble. The service is attentive and fast, and the menu, for the most part, steers clear of much of the cliched Italian choices found in most restuarants. Sure, you can order spagetti and meat balls (excellent!) but they offer other tempting items not commonly found. I ordered the Gnocchi Di Verdure, with fresh house semolina gnocchi, roasted red onion, grilled eggplant, grape tomato, asparagus, lemon zest, pesto brodo, and house-made burrata cheese. The veggies were fresh, cooked just right, and not upstaged by the gnochi de verdure pasta, which was tender and cooked to perfection; browned on the outside. Never any surprises at M'tucci's. It's always worth the trip. Note they have several locations with, I think, different menus at each.Wow, this is an amazing review!! Our locations do have different menus. We appreciate your business and you kind words. Please join us again soon.

Sadly, Torino’s changed hands a few years ago, and the difference in quality is striking. Each course was poor. The focaccia was mushy, tasteless, underdone. The chopped salad was plain, with a tasteless vinaigrette. Our pasta was tough and gummy with an unidentifiable filling. The pork chop was also strangely tasteless with room temp ?risotto? underneath, not really sure what it was. Dessert wasn’t awful, but again tasteless. The wine list had types of wine listed, eg malbec from Argentina, but no other descriptions, and it was over-priced. Overall a meal so bad it was almost funny except that it was too expensive to be funny. We miss the old owners.

At Il Vicino you order at the counter and then sit, but they do have someone to help you find a table and get you set up. From there on it feels like a full service restaurant. Overall, it's a nice combination. Had originally feared it wouldl be too casual a pizza joint. But, once you sat down the service was top notch. The burrata with pizza dough wedges was really great. The Caesar salad was great too (and a bit spicy!) . I must say the pizza was a bit disappointing- had been hoping for delicious crust a la other brick oven pizza places. This crust was pretty drab and a big disappointment. But, for the atmosphere and the other food, definitely recommend it if you are in the Nob Hill area.

TROMBINO’s continues to satisfy our upscale Italian dinner tastes with a large menu, consistently great tasting food, romantic ambience, and super service. Tonight was a special occasion, so we ordered several favorites: to start, we shared the spicy Calamari Siciliano appetizer. Then my wife ordered the Pan-Seared Tilapia, and I ordered Veal Marsala with a side of Spaghetti Aglio e Olio. For dessert, we shared a Spumoni cake. As usual, everything was delicious, tasty, and perfectly cooked! Our server Taylor was constantly attentive, and she kept checking on us to see if we needed anything – like, another glass of my Montepulciano. Outstanding dining experience, Very Highly Recommended!
