Wenn einem der Juniorchef die Tür aufhält, die Chefin mit einem Hallo zäme und Händedruck einem begrüsst, ist das schon der erste Grund zum wieder hingehen. Drei Menüs zum Lunch sind meiner Ansicht nach genügend; und wenn die Mittagspizza selbst gemacht und mit einem frischen Salat serviert ist, und dann noch supergünstig daherkommt, ist das der zweite Grund zum wieder hingehen.Gemütliches Ambiente.Gerne wieder! Very good price quality ratio. Pizzas are excellent and can compete with the best in the greater Zurich area. My favorite is the ruccola & Parma prosciutto. Not only pizzas are good. The rest of the menu good as well. Ideal with the family, children friendly, nice outside seating under the "Tiglio." The main street & roundabout just nearby can be noisy, but outside rush hours the seating outside is very enjoyable. They do take-away as well. Staff friendliness variable, serving you a free ramazzoti to digest the usually light bill or almost forget you the next time you show up...

Mein allererster und wohl auch letzter Besuch. War in Unkenntnis über (wohl bessere?) Alternativen vor Ort. Gute Lage, direkt ne-ben dem Bahnhof Affoltern a.A., Eingang über Treppe. Lokal nur knapp zur Hälfte besetzt; derselbe Raum ist zweigeteilt in Gast-stube und Speiseabteil, mit weissem Tischtuch gedeckt. Im 1. Stock noch das Löwenstübli. Toilettenanlage befindet sich in der oberen Etage. Zeitungsauswahl: Blick, Tages Anzeiger undGratis-Zeitungen. Musikberieselung. Erster Eindruck beim Betreten: Miefer Geruch + dicke Luft, eine Unzahl an willkürlichem Schnickschnack, Plastik-Pflanzen, nicht optimal platzierte Deckenlampen mit gedämpftem Licht u.ä.m. Wirt persönlich und eine Servicekraft schienen gar stark bean-sprucht.Menukarte mit viel zu viel Auswahl für diese Lokalgrösse. Dem-entsprechend auch die Mahlzeitenqualität. Nach einer halben Stunde Wartezeit wurden die Hauptspeisen serviert. Das omnipräsent propagierte 'Rösti-Fesitval' entpuppte sich als Reinfall, denn die Präsentation der servierten Portion, in der befleckten Ofenschale, war nicht appetitanregend, und schmeckte letztend-lich auch entsprechend: salzig, matschig und wohl kaum mit frischen Kartoffeln zubereitet. Auch das Spargel-Risotto machte nicht gluschtig auf mehr. Einzig die Pizzen - insbesondere die Calzone - konnten überzeugen. Pizzen in zwei Grössen erhältlich. Grosse Weinauswahl. Suure Moscht hell oder trüb erhältlich, ser-viert im Keramikbecher. Zur Ãberraschung gab es als Abschluss ein Gläschen Ramazzotti Kräuterlikör offeriert. Wir waren uns in der Ãberzeugung einig, dass dem Wirt wohl je-mand wie "Bumann der Restauranttester" am ehesten zum Erfolg weiterhelfen könnte. Es wäre ihm zu gönnen.

Lovely traditional and well maintained building and restaurant. Very pleasant, helpful, patient staff (our German is a bit rubbish - they spoke far better English!), separate children's menu and activities to keep them busy and a nice selection of italian styled food. Nice way to spend a leisurely lunchtime as a family.

We really enjoy their pizzas and have ordered both delivery and take-out on several occasions. My wife prefers Pizza Rucola, my favorite is Pizza Porcini. Also the Tiramisu is nice (however, on one occasion it was a bit stale). We tried a pasta dish once and will not order pasta again.

You don't need to play don Giovanni to serve a good pizza and pasta. This is an authentic easy Italian restaurant in the region with good food, nice staff and good atmosphere. Grazie

Went there this July. Easy to find off the road (Bonhofstrasse) parallel to train tracks. Place was busy with guests but still had room for us under the terrace. We were adressed and seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Food was good! Two pizzas fed three of us (with beers). Stonebaked pizza, with crust to order (if you can speak German or gesture your way to success). I had one with salami and it was delicious. It came with an included small appetizer too. Cost ranged 16-20 Swiss Francs per pizza. They had some great looking pasta too, they were around 25 Francs per dish. I would bring friends there again.

Restaurant design is modern but cosy. Nice garden. Very friendly service. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, interesting choice of wines. We had lamb and piccata with risotto and vegetables, quality was outstanding and prices are very moderate for Swiss standards. We left it to the waiter for choosing the wine, his recommendation was perfect. So don't look for another place, the "Weingarten" is number one in Affoltern!

Convenient â Itâs right next door to the Holiday Inn Affoltern AM Albis. We were hungry and walked next door.Expensive â If food is very good, I donât mind paying for it. Switzerland is expensive and so I get that but the food should still be excellent to warrant the price.Taste â For the price this place is charging for a pizza and pasta, it should be excellent. It was just edible. It wasnât horrible but it was bland.If this place is your only option for supper come here but if youâre slightly hungry, there is a convenience store not far from the hotel.
