Four of us came here for lunch on a Friday. For appyâs we shared the shrimp cocktail and drunken clams. The shrimp were good, but the accompanying red sauce needed help. It needed to be spiced up with horseradish or hot sauce. The clams were very salty. Two of us ordered fish and chips, and two of us got the fish taco lunch special. The fish and chips were delicious - perfectly fried. It was quite a large portion. The accompanying fries were thick and wonderful. The fish tacos were in need of more fish. There were two to an order. Go with the fish and chips. Our server, Kennedy, was very pleasant and helpful.

Use to be one of our favorite restaurants. We moved out of the area and had a chance to return. My wife ordered the sizzling steak sandwich, her favorite. No longer. Very disappointed in the presentation. The steak should be over toast points. Her sandwich came out with the bread on the side with the steak directly on the hot plate. The steak cooked immediately from rare to well done. The people at the next table order the same thing and it was prepared correctly. The quality control is definitely lacking in the kitchen.

We grabbed a late night bite on a rainy Saturday. It was so late, almost closing for the kitchen, that the place was empty. There might have been 15 people at the bar. Iâm sure the weather kept folks away. The bar area is still classic & lovely but the TLC & attention to detail seems to be missing. The place seemed worn & dreary. Iâm sure the plumbing still hasnât been upgraded; the ladies room off the bar was still a shambles. I enjoyed my baked brie and my husband liked his cheeseburger but all in all I felt let down. For years Rodâs had been one of my favorite âgo toâ places. Now it lost that panache. We'll still go so my husband can have a Guinness but we will probably not stay long,
