Booked dinner in Barrtra last week. It was amazing.We had the tasting menus Fish & Meat. It was served by the very professsional Molly. She took great care of us for the evening. The cources came out in perfect timing, washed down by a lovely wine.Everything is home grown & cooked here. The flavours of the food would certainly back this up.The restaurant was very busy and standards very high.Molly organised a taxi home...Thank YouWe will be back..The homemade bread was so tasty..

We had a great time here. We got a lovely welcome . The property is basic but clean and comfortable. We had great crack in the bar , met some very funny characters , the breakfast was very nice and had good selection on the menu. Thank you Cathal and family for a lovely stay really enjoyed it

This lovely friendly restaurant (more bistro-like in atmosphere) offers a menu that's a bit more diverse than the usual lamb shank or burger that so many other places on the west coast tourist trail seem to offer.Rose maintains a very relaxed friendly atmosphere out front whilst Patrick concentrates on putting together an excellent pizza with his fresh dough out back. But they also employ a chef for the other dishes and the other night, I had a lovely pasta whilst the good lady enjoyed a very presentable piece of fresh fish.Large portions and keen prices, the number of locals in here told you that this is a firm favourite that's worth seeking out.Thanks a million "Empathology" - I think I remember you guys - were you staying in Spanish Point House? We arrived and my mother went into the restaurant to see could they accommodate us. The owner told my mother he could and he came out and helped us with my nana on a wheelchair and my baby in a buggy he helped is with our umbrellas. He is the nicest man. He's food is amazing very reasonable and big portions. Amazing

We booked into the Red cliff lodge for my parents 40th wedding anniversary Everything was absolutely fantastic. Eimear and her team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect on the night . The meal was simply delicious . The staff were super professional and friendly . The accommodation was outstanding and we had the Atlantic Ocean on our doorstep . The Red Cliff lodge is an absolute gem on the wild Atlantic way and we most certainly will be back . Great barfood in this cosy pub which is part of the newly refurbished Armada Hotel. The food was excellent with decent portion sizes. The kids loved the chicken goujons made with proper chicken breast and the adult fish and chips portion is really enough for 2. The chowder was nice but not the best one I have tasted. We will definitely be back though. The wines by the glass are a bit pricey but good quality but it is a hotel so that would be expected. We have been twice already and will definitely return. By far the best pub grub in Spanish Point.

I stayed at Vaughan Lodge for two nights with a golf group. The highlight of the hotel is the restaurant. The locally sourced food is exquisite (albeit not cheap). The setting is simple and unobtrusive, and the service is friendly and unprepossessing. Thank you cathy for your review.Our Restaurant is our spoilt child!Despite the price we charge for Dinner, we make nothing from the venture.It will have cost us more to serve the meal you enjoyed than what you paid ....but we still like to continue because we are serious about our food and about giving our guests a very enjoyable dining experience.Thank you for staying with us and dining.... many of our guests do not dine here at all.As with other parts of the hotel .... we like low key ... good quality.I am glad you appreciated what we offered you.Michael
