Couldnât resist stopping here after our Sheephaven Bay Swim down the lane. Went to the horse box outside because the weather was so lovely. Beautiful vanilla chai latte and caramel square with a beautiful view and they happily use your own reuseable cup!

We prebooked (recommend that you do) for 4 on Saturday last. We know the area well so had no trouble finding the bar/restaurant but, be warned, it is quite out-of-the-way with very winding and narrow roads. The table was booked for 5.45 which was only one of 2 slots available. Nice old fashioned bar at the front but the square room behind it is a bit sparse with not very comfortable seating. However, I am being picky. We were taken to our table after having a drink in the 'square room' Starters of goats cheese, prawns were delicious. Unfortunately they were unable to arrange a gluten free version for one coeliac guest who had to make do with a Caeser salad instead. The starters were excellent, despite this. Mains of sea trout, sea bass and bonefish were superb. The sirloin steak for the other guest was HUGE! and excellent. Good wind choice too. Unfortunately I was the designated driver so couldn't indulge in the array of guns on offer. Oh well, definitely on another occasion as I feel we will be back soon. Perfect

Have eaten several times at the Mill. On this occasion we stayed overnight and had dinner with some friends. As usual the location is stunning beside the âNewâ lake. The rooms are well appointed and spacious with all the facilities that you would want including complementary drinks. The Mill has a wine licence therefore no spirits. The meal we had was not up to their usual standard. Both my friend and myself ordered a rare fillet which came over done. However, the ladies had fish which were perfect. In the morning, breakfast had a good menu with lots of options including some local fare. I had an omlette which again was overdone and as a consequence ârubberyâ but tasty.Despite these reservations would highly recommend.

This is a fairly mainstream restaurant. Nothing fancy, nothing horrible. Service was good. The room was clean. Food was ok, but unremarkable. Pizzas probably adapted to local tastes, and some ingredients seemed a bit incongruent. For example one the pizzas stated Basil as one of the ingredients, when it arrived it had dried basil on it-Maybe market demand determined this, but every other place Iâve been to always had fresh basil on the pizzas. Pizza base was good. Would go back.

Wine-bar and bistro located in scenic seaside Downings, Co Donegal - serving sumptuous, fresh, local seafood - tasty tapas share plates, and an extensive wine and drinks list.
We were staying in Carrigart for the weekend and booked a table because it was recommended. We weren't disappointed. Mackerel pate to start. Fabulous. Slow cooked featherblade of beef, mash, veg and gravy. All bursting with flavour.Wife had plump succulent mussels to start followed by whole lobster. Also fantastic. Scraggy Bay IPA on draught and a bottle of picpoul from a very good wine list. What a meal.We then went out to the outer bar where there was an acoustic duo playing and stayed there for the rest of the night.Casual dining doesn't get better than this.

This place ALWAYS delivers.Had 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 desserts and a pot of tea for â¬31. To top it off - it was all beautifully fresh. The carrot cake (baked this morning) was stunning.Excellent option for coeliacs as they have coeliac cakes always and are very careful with food. There is reason this place is still going strong - it's consistent, fresh and unbeatable value!

Visited the singing pub after great reviews of read and we were not disappointed. It was our wedding anniversary. We arrived only 5 mins before our 7.30 booking but I fancied a Guinness before the meal and wait sraff Just said no panic come in when ready and we'll get you seated. Very busy for a Wednesday night....all but one small table taken. We had a brie starter between us which was lovely. Service in general was very quick and wait staff were very down to earth and accommodating! My wife had surf and turf for mains. The fillet of steak came out on a hot stone do you could cut it and cook a bit longer if you wished (comes out close to rare). The fish was in a scallop ahell which she loved especiaĺly with the cheese sauce over it. Not often my wife is speechless! I had one of the seafood platters again very nice great portions and you certainly don't leave hungry ! Had another pint each prior to dinner and then shared a bottle of red. We continued to have a few drinks the the bar afterwards. Lovely atmosphere great live music (not too load) and taxi home for 12.30. Highly recommend. All food including wine and couple of pints came too c95 euro....which is very reasonable !
