Visited Stoneview Restaurant today. Found it a very enjoyable visit from start to finish. Had phoned earlier in the day to reschedule our booking and this was facilitated with no issue. Restaurant decor beautifully done. Lovely background music playing. We were seated in a lovely location with views over the countryside and of Blarney village. Orders were taken promptly. Waiting staff very lovely and friendly, and very professional. Ordered the corned beef cake and the haddock and cod fish bake to start. All were delishous and plates were cleared. It appeared to be lovely fresh ingredients used in both dishes. Ordered medium cooked rib eye steaks with pepper sauce and chips for main. Done to perfection, all plates were cleared. Delicious. Desserts were also demolished. The menu was small but everything that was on it appeared locally sourced and was done to a high standard. They had a selection of beer on tap as well as a varied wine menu. It was nice to see that alot of families appeared to use the restaurant and there were plenty of small toddlers on their best behaviour. All in all a very positive experience. Would definitely come again, next time may even consider bringing the kids as I'm sure we would receive a very warm welcome!

After touring the Blarney castle my wife was on the hunt for a sweater. Right next door to Christys is Blarney Woolen Mills so it was very convenient for me to go sit in the bar while she shopped. Service was good and I did have my eye on the vast array of deserts but decided to pass. Hmmmm they looked spectacular!

Cafe - Deli - Garden in the heart of Blarney right on the village green. Just one skip and two hops from the gates of the famous Blarney Castle. At our cafe we strive to use ingredients and products from Co. Cork. The bread is baked daily in an award-winn
We stopped in here because we could take the dog with us to eat out in the garden. Lovely little outdoor spot, very welcoming and a couple of haughty black cats keeping an eye on the customers! Our waitress was lovely; we had a Chicken Tikka Wrap and aGreek Style Salad - both were good value.

Good food, vibes and service. Many thanks for taking the time to post a review of your recent dining experience with us. I hope you had a wonderful time in Kinsale and in Ireland. This Wonderfully Traditional Irish Pub & Restaurant offering Boutique Accommodation is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Blarney Co. Cork. A second generation family owned and run property offering a typical Irish welcome to all customer
We had dessert and drinks here while in Blarney. They are very busy so it took a long time for the servers to come to our table and they rarely checked on us, even by Irish standards. The desserts were ok and drinks were good. At the end we asked for water. My sister took a few sips and then realized that there was bright pink lipstick marks on the glass... she does not wear lipstick. Thankfully this was at the end and we had already eaten our food or else we may not have been able to stomach it. You have to go up to the bar to pay; they do not give you a receipt/ticket to take up there. Not took many choices in Blarney to eat.Dear Ashlee, I was shocked and dismayed upon reading your review, and I would like to apologise unreservedly, we obviously did not reach our usual high standards on this occasion. Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention, I can assure you that I have made all our staff and management aware of your complaint.SincerelyRuth O Connor

We recently visited here with our family who live close by. It was late afternoon and we had just traveled 2 hours. I didnât want a big meal so I asked could I get a double portion of the pasta that was on the childrenâs menu. I didnât ask for any part of the menu to be changed. Just a double portion. The answer was âNoâ. That was it. I said ok Iâll have the child portion so. A small portion of pasta (not fresh pasta) 3 tiny pieces of chicken topped with a spoonful of red sauce, completely cold. When my husband went to pay the manager he told him what happened. His reply was âWe donât change our menu for customersâ. He couldnât have been any more rude. While I was standing there beside my husband he actually said heâs âsheâs a picky eaterâ. This restaurant has had awards in the past, I think they are well out of date by now. The food is in general is average and the pub is not exactly spotless and is out dated. Couldnât recommend it.The childrenâs menu is for children only. The pastaâs not fresh pasta as you stated but itâs there for children who donât want anything else on offer. A stop gap if you will. Not our specialty in the least. We simply donât have the time, nor the inclination. Everything else we do though is made from scratch. Letâs just say pastaâs not exactly coursing through our veins. Moreover we keep the salt content down to an absolute minimum for children so the dishes are not suited to an adult palate.Perhaps all this was lost in translation. I will most definitely be addressing the front of house team with this complaint. Though Iâm having difficulty understanding why you insisted on eating a childâs pasta dinner when thereâs such a range of choice on the main menu. Thereâs certainly no such thing as a flat âNo.â here. And nobody said, âWe donât change our menus for our customers.â We simply do not possess the Gallic flair to pull that one off. Honestly Iâd give it a go, but it be would just hilarious. Furthermore my brother Richie, to whom your husband was speaking, assures me that he did not refer to you as âa picky eater.â It was in fact your husband who said this. We will continue to bend over backwards for anybody with special requirements or needs, no matter how unusual. For instance one of our chefs is busy right now preparing a vegetarian pie with a side of sausages (all sausagetarians welcome by the way). Some vegans came in unannounced a few weeks ago in the middle of a crazy Saturday service and we were only too delighted to put a few dishes together for them. People often come in looking for half portions and weâre more than happy to oblige where possible. Honestly nothing is too much trouble. We certainly do our level best to please. Thereâs no harder working, more dedicated kitchen team out there. Weâre never happy to stand still. We are only too aware that weâre only as good as our last meal served. Nobodyâs resting on any laurels out here. And thereâs certainly no screaming prima donnas. Believe you me my mother would clip them around the ear! Weâve got too many small mouths to feed. Iâve got three rapscallions myself. They love their food by the way. Theyâve a particular fondness for shellfish. Costing me a fortune! Our kids menu doesnât quite cut it for them. In fact the more adventurous children out there often stray on to the adults menu. Nothing more satisfying than seeing a child tuck into a bowl of our delicious mussels, or go for one of our goat cheese, smoked salmon & creamed leek tartlets (incidentally, my favourite in betweeny snack and dinner item). In short weâre striving every single day to build something that we want to hand down to our next generation (God, help them!). And please donât be afraid to present us with any special requests or requirements. We will always endeavour to please. I just honestly wouldnât go for the pasta.

At The Square Table the goal is to serve good quality, uncomplicated food that is locally sourced and served in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Twin sisters, Martina and Tricia Cronin, choose their suppliers from among local, artisan, small businesses
I dined here last Friday night for a family birthday dinner. As a person that is very familiar with Blarney and consider myself somewhat of a foodie I cannot believe this gem escaped my radar until now. Wonderful service, fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, i could not rate it high enough. they even catered specifically off menu for one family member (requested in advance) and it no problem at all. Highly highly recommend. I had the crispy egg for starter and it was cooked to perfection. Hake for main with a delicious veloute. Everybody else sang praises about their orders.Thank you so much Martina and Tricia. We will be back!!!!!

Gallagher's Gastro Pub was reopened June 2013 & has steadily gained a reputation for high quality, Locally sourced cuisine.Serving Lunch, Evening Meals & Weekend brunch. Gallagher's has also quickly established itself as one of Corks top music Venues.
We were very much looking forward to try this restaurant after reading the comments.... what a disappointment!!! we took both platters (meat and fish) and nothing was good. The seafood seemed to be frozen and re-heated and the meat dish was not good. Either the restaurant is living on its good comments and has let its standards down or it really need to do its menu again. The staff was however professional

The Old Town Whiskey Bar at Bodega â the grand dame in Corkâs Old Town, Irelandâs largest whiskey bar housed in one of the countries most beautiful bars. Food served 7 days a week â brunch & steaks a speciality! Enjoy our in-house cocktails in the beautif
As a return visitor my fondness for the Bodega is largely fuelled by nostalgia, for when it first opened in the 1990s it was well ahead of its time in combining sophistication and comfort with a large open plan layout in a beautiful refurbished building - a formula which has since been applied in numerous other locations. The Bodega has not lost its appeal, and upstairs provides a tasteful separate space for private functions.
